Let me share my feelings about the email… this is some ________! I realize there are a lot of punk __ people that hide behind a computer and say whatever they want. However, this emailer - Bob from Eagle – would NEVER stand face to face with JTH (or other Black Man) and utter these ignorant words.
Don’t get caught with you pants around your ankles family… ignorance is at an all-time high. The internet has taken hate and bigotry to the masses.
Take a look at this email our Conservative brother received from a listener last week. This is an actual email… let’s talk about it.

James, Over the years I have made the observation that there are two kinds of black people. There are black people who are honest hard working, intelligent decent people. Then there are the niggers who are lazy, participate in criminal activities, can’t hold down a job, incapable of supporting a family and totally ignorant. You my friend are an ignorant nigger and I think you are jealous of Obama because unlike you he worked hard and was able to achieve in life. All you do is sit on your dead ass and listen to right wing dogma all day. I’m sure glad your not my son.

I think the email is inflammatory, but definitely not racist, as we don’t really know if it was from a white racist, a white prejudice person, a bigot or a Black person defending President Obama. Many times we confuse bigots and prejudice people with racists. That being said, for the most part racists are bigots and prejudiced and what separates them from other bigots and prejudice people is that they have POWER to deny, withhold, reject, no hire, etc. There is a BIG difference and perhaps the reason why we spend so much mental energy on those who have opinion but no power. I focus on those with power, the power to withhold the resources we need to sustain ourselves, not people with opinions.
Also, the only people who are niggers are those who SAY they are niggers and they do EXIST as I know many who actually say they ARE niggers. And we know that there are people of all stripes who are “lazy, participate in criminal activities, can’t hold down a job, are incapable of supporting a family and totally ignorant”, some even have degrees. Now I guess you have to ask a nigger what being a nigger is to them. I guess we all have our definitions but it is the ones who claim the label that know who they really are and what it means to be one. And I know many who claim the label but don’t have the aforementioned attributes. Go figure!!

I just don’t like that word at all. Don’t like reading it, don’t like hearing it. First time I ever heard the word was in third grade on the playground. Not knowing what it meant, I innocently repeated it at home, like lots of kids do with any “bad” word. My dad made sure I understood the word was not to be used in our home and to this day I have never used it. I am even bothered by the -a variation, since anyone who uses it knows where it came from.
I agree with you, however, I don’t deny they exist because as I stated there are those who claim it, To me it is like any other swear word and since I swear, you may hear me use it, but I am ready to do battle when I do. It is definitely NOT a term of endearment. There is a Black man here in Milwaukee, who is well educated, speaks several languages and is very well known, but he says he is a N-word. And because he audience is primarily younger people, I was appalled and lost the little respect I had stored for him.
