The FACT is that this has been known for a while. Communities have been devastated, lives have been lost, crack continues to be sold in the community. The question is WHAT ARE WE GONNA DO ABOUT IT? It seems we glority crack dealers, idolize them in our various neighborhoods and some of them LIVE in our very own homes, are our very OWN children. We have the stigma of the “crack baby” but no one has stigmatized the “meth baby’ even though meth is just as lethal. Stereotyping and labeling is relegated to the Black community and has been allowed to totally destroy our already tarnished social image due to the legacy of enslavement. Many of us SEE what is going on, have felt the brunt of it, but are unwilling to organize to stop it. The solution to this problems is in OUR hands. Those who we entrust to eradicate the problem are in on it. When will we understand that? The hypocrisy is killin me.
