6 Responses to Cavalier Johnson Press Release: Notes on High Speed Rail
Sorry but doesn’t a County Supervisor have more pressing issues at hand? There will only be 55 permanent jobs created from the train and even more unemployment. In all this time you cannot find some other ideas for to run on? I do not care to vote for or support yet another person who is going to bash this new governor. We need people who are looking at this county and ready to get their hands dirty, not people running on old and tired ideas and spreading more hate. The train is out of county hands, so why waste the time?
The train by many was a resounding failure and that is part of what got Walker elected. We need people who are going to bring new ideas and new bipartisan politics to the table. This is dead and the idea it would work in this state has been proven time and time again by similar states to be a not so good idea. Our farmers and local side of the road businesses would loose big time and what would you say to them? We need fresh produce in our state, look at how sick Wisconsinites got from eating imported produce.
We need to build a solid infrastructure here, build amazing shopping districts and things that will attract others to our state. Do you think people will really want to board a train to the most racist state in the union?
Okay with all respect, what other ideas do you have besides jumping on board this train? Also what are your thoughts about Wisconsin bypassing companies in our state that could have done this job to use a racist company (Talgo) that is exporting all our Federal and State tax dollars to Spain?
Do you have other suggestions to add jobs besides the 55 jobs this train will provide? The other jobs are temporary so do you have a plan to provide unemployment monies for these people? What about providing better county transportation and better roadways, parks, and making the county board smaller in size since they are too big and do not have enough work to do? What about dealing with unions and their constant requests for increases that exceed real world businesses?
Let’s start with county issues and leave the state business alone for now.

Chevy seems like he is a well meaning young lad and I wish him well in his career but he does need to educate himself on the pertinent issues facing the County. Mr. Johnson – pursue your dreams and don’t let any dream killers stop you. I applaud your efforts to run for public office at such a young age (24). I wonder what all your detractors were doing when they were your age? It is disappointing to read the negative and condescending comments directed at you because you have a differing political ideology.
Let the haters strengthen you in your pursuits and never allow others to define who you are. Be the strong, Black Man the Creator has gifted you to be and remember to fight for your people. Everything else is just noise.

Cavalier Johnson name doesn’t ring a bell but Wonder Woman’s comment sums up my thoughts. Coggs Jones is Elizabeth Coggs’s former married name. Prissy is one of her three daughters from that marriage. Ieshuh Griffin should run against Elizabeth Coggs as a republican next time if she’s not on the county board ticket.
