Dr. Michael Bonds (MPS School Board President) called the mayoral takeover “racist.”

Former Sen. Coggs and Rep. Grigsby disagreed with Sen. Taylor’s bill and drafted their own which the teacher’s union supported.

The public at large rejected it…but today, it is as though it never happened.
