Applause to Sherin Hughs for publicizing the racism and open disrespect for Black people by Elsa’s. The heat needs to be maintained so that the entire Black community is aware.

Why not try Black owned restaurants or restaurants that employee majority Blacks in management or franchise/chain ownership? This is how you do damage and send a message, stay in your lane with your $$$$.
I know for a fact Elsa’s would be most happy and thriving sans Negros. The only reason we started getting in there was because of the Bucks!! They don’t care about us non-pro athletes and this ain’t the first time some ish popped off there.

You can boycott, march, protest, it will bring nothing but more business to Elsa’s i.e. Chick Fil A… Some fool will go there to happily celebrate a Negro-free atmosphere. We do live in the most segregated city hands down.

Some of that family were never happy about Black customers and Milwaukee in general. Some things will never change!!
I understand Kopp’s in Glendale gives big breaks to keep their Kopps and some of us older folks will recall Glendale po po used to make it very hard to cross Port Washington w/o a valid license and plates etc…

Okay good point, we DO need to eat healthy!! A grilled wing or a nice veggis shishkabob would not kill us. I enjoy them.
As a white regular at Elsa’s, I can confidently say that the white patrons will be much happier without a bunch of fat, cackling, Negro women acting like apes at a zoo. I can only assume the staff will be happier, too, not having to put up with a bunch of needy customers who rarely tip accordingly.
I’m sure the African American clientele who are actually enjoyable to be around will continue to come to Elsa’s because they get the good service their attitude and tips have earned. From everything I’ve heard, the two black ladies who started this whole thing were acting like bitches long before they started throwing drinks at the owner’s girlfriend.
As a black woman myself when people act like this, I’m embarrassed. But I am also hurt by someone saying they wish black people didn’t come to this restaurant. I do not behave inappropriately, I tip well. There are a lot of us who do. I’m not a fat black woman who acts like a ape in a zoo. These are hurtful words and we should not all be put in the same category. I have been treated poorly and witness to plenty of rude, mean, unpleasant white people. I don’t hold the entire race accountable. So the things that were said didn’t just hurt the two women, it hurt us all.

I can assure you nobody quit from this incident. Also only 4 people walked out, two being the women involved, the other two a single couple. The building did not clear out with all black customers leaving as this article seems to say. Also the ladies forget to mention how they threw several drinks on the owner’s girlfriend and invited her over to their table to begin with. Instead of talking with the owner they assaulted his girlfriend and threatened to call the police. When it was pointed out they must remain until the police arrive they promptly changed their minds and left rather hastily. As to what was said between these women I cannot say, I do not know. I do know this incident is being shared with a lot of missing information about these two women’s actions though, as well as a lot of overstated or false facts. I guess that’s what happens when you get all your news from facebook though.
I’M Confused. was it carls gf saying these things or the elsas staff? why are we all blaming elsas as a whole shouldn’t we be attacking the problem, Mary freeman who claims to want to help “us” but really has these point of views? I’ve been going to elsas for many years and know some servers well and have never been treated poorly. so shouldn’t
