Governor Walker was tough on the budget but will he bring that same fight and vigor to advocate for the Wisconsin Black Community? We need to be a people about a movement sans alternative agendas. This governor needs to be a man of action and one unafraid to move out of his Republican, right wing comfort zones.

We are paying bills, we are freezing fees and taxes, and we passed a fiscally sound budget. Great, commendable, but now we need to hold this “ground breaking” governor to even more accomplishments and tasks as never witnessed before. We need new policies and actions that are just as “ground breaking” of reforms and changes for minorities, specifically Blacks.

We even have a memorial for the firefighters of 9/11 in Milwaukee, but we can’t we memorialize this, an event that happened right in our own backyard? Milwaukee needs to atone for its sins and we need to support these families every year.
