Black Republicans… Here’s What YOUR Party (And Cain) Thinks About US

So let me get this straight… the darkest republican in the room doesn’t want to be referred to as African American (see Herman Cain). He states (see more in article below) that the word “African” on the front of his racial identity limits him and inaccurately describes him. “I don’t like people trying to label me,” Cain said. “’African-American’ is socially acceptable for some people, but I am not some people.”

What the hell? A Black Man makes a few hundred million flippin’ pizzas and now he doesn’t want to be called “African” American… just American. It’s ok for some, but I’m somehow greater than you other Black, excuse me “African” Americans. Say what! Didn’t this (Black) man attend Morehouse College? Does he disown that prestigious institution which help produce his genius? Isn’t Morehouse a HBCU aka Historically Black College and or University? If it were up to Cain, OUR institutions of higher learning would be HCUs.

This dude is a trip and I’m tired of fake a** Black, bi-racial, people of color republicans acting as though they are color blind. Let Cain walk 2 blocks away from his so-called republican convention get togethers and he’ll find out quick just how Black his a** really is to those he think will vote for his Black, excuse me, “African’ American a**. I’m sick of this bull****, wake the hell up and be Black, Brown, whatever the hell color or ethnicity you are in your politics. Why can’t you be proud of your history and why must you lay it down for the sake of some political ideology?

That’s some bull**** I’m tired of reading, seeing, and hearing. I’m tired of your fake a** ideologs who run from your ethnicity. Sick of it!!!!!

Oh yeah, and bringing in a comedian to portray President Barack Obama is not funny to me. So they pay someone to shuck, jive, and giggaboo for all the happy White faces in good ole Naulins. Give me a ________ break! Defend that bull****, and Black People are supposed to support this ish???!!!! Damn, where is the consciousness in your Black Republicans to sit back and take that ish??? Read this piece below and let me know what you think of them running clips of Fred Sanford and the rest of the ish that went on down there. Wake up.

Funniest Joke Ever? The GOP Wooing Blacks

The Republican Party is schizophrenic.

One day, the GOP claims it wants to become more racially inclusive and reach out to African-Americans to broaden the GOP’s ethnic membership, and days later, Republicans do something bizarre that totally undermines their questionable outreach efforts.

This week, for example, Republican presidential candidate Herman Cain announced that he doesn’t like the idea of being labeled an African-American. During an interview with Bloomberg, Cain said that he prefers to be called an American, explaining that the word “African” on the front of his racial identity limits him and inaccurately describes him.

“I don’t like people trying to label me,” Cain said. “’African-American’ is socially acceptable for some people, but I am not some people.”

So, here’s the GOP saying it wants more African-Americans to join the ranks of the Republican Party, but the only black GOP presidential candidate insists that he doesn’t want to be called African-American.

How do Republicans really intend to attract blacks to the GOP with candidates like Cain? This is not to say that all blacks agree on the reference to African-Americans, but most blacks in America agree that their roots – even partially – originated somewhere on the continent of Africa. It’s highly likely that Cain’s family has an African connection, too.

If the GOP believes Cain will lead the welcome wagon for African-Americans, Republicans should think again.

There’s more. Cain’s surprise announcement comes as Reggie Brown, a comedian impersonating President Barack Obama, made racial jokes Saturday at the Republican Leadership Conference in New Orleans.

“Michelle celebrates all of Black History Month,” Brown quipped about Obama’s bi-racial heritage. “I only celebrate half.”

Brown also said: “My mother loved a black man, and she was not a Kardashian.”

And flashing a picture on the screen of Fred Sanford of “Sanford and Son,” Brown said that’s what Obama would look like when he got older.

Brown didn’t just limit his jokes to Obama, though. He also mocked Mitt Romney’s Mormon faith, ridiculed Newt Gingrich’s faltering campaign and suggested Tim Pawlenty needed a spinal transplant. As Brown was preparing to make a Michele Bachmann joke, one of the conference’s officials came out to the lectern and told the comedian to leave the stage.

A reporter who attended the event exposed the GOP’s double-standard – and thin skin. He said Republicans laughed at Brown’s racial jokes about Obama, but they cut Brown off and escorted him off the stage only after he began to make jokes about Republicans. In fact, when Brown aimed his humor at presidential candidate Newt Gingrich, the audience booed him.

One thing is certain: Republicans can’t take a joke.

Brown said organizers told him he would have 15 to 20 minutes to perform. But after 17 minutes and midway through a joke about Bachmann, his microphone was cut, and he was escorted off the stage.

“I do believe that I was over my time by a few minutes,” Brown told CNN Monday, “and I also believe that the material was starting to get to a point to where maybe they started to, you know, feel uncomfortable with where it was going. But I was just doing my thing.”

Republican Leadership Conference Chairman Charlie Davis said Brown’s performance had gone too far.

“Had I been in the room, I would have pulled him sooner,” Davis told CNN. “We have zero tolerance for racially insensitive jokes. As soon as I realized what was going on, I rushed backstage and had him pulled.”

Maybe Davis should have pulled his fellow Republican, Hugh McInnish, before he got started.

In March, Hugh McInnish, a member of the Madison County (Alabama) Republican Executive Committee, tried to explain the racial disparities in the Alabama public school system. At a press conference, McInnish claimed that “blacks misbehave on average more frequently than whites do,” and that black students don’t perform as well as white students. McInnish also offered a chart that showed the “black crime rate” and the “white crime rate.” The chart indicated that black people commit more than six times the violent crime of white people overall – eight times as many murders as white people and more than 14 times as many robberies, McInnish said.

Meanwhile, while Cain is telling the media not to call him an African-American, black Republicans proudly list a number of prominent African-Americans as members of the GOP: Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., Mary McLeod Bethune, Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas, former Rep. J.C. Watts; Harriet Tubman, Booker T. Washington, former Republican National Committee Chairman Michael Steele and boxing promoter Don King.

As the 2012 presidential race heats up, the GOP has already indicated that it will reach out to blacks and Hispanics in hopes of luring more people of color to the Republican Party. Previous efforts, however, have appeared half-hearted, and black Democrats never believed that Republicans are serious about lobbying black folks.

With Republicans laughing at racially-tinged jokes about President Obama, it’s hard to imagine that the GOP will ever be committed to embracing the black electorate, no matter how many African-Americans they list on a web site.

No Longer Stuck… in the Valley of the DOLLS

This piece is being written specifically to hopefully shed  luminance on the BLACK DOLL, WHITE DOLL Syndrome:

Why a Black child will chose a White Doll over a Black doll. This started first coming to the world’s wonderment when in 1939, husband and wife psychologists, Kenneth Clark and Mamie Phipps, devised a study where it was shown that Black children would chose a White doll before choosing a Black one. Said case study was propelled to international attention though when from his tireless effort Attorney Thurgood Marshall prevailed in getting The highest court to overturn the ‘Separate But Equal’ doctrine in place at that time. That time being 2:00p.m. May the 17, 1954. The case had been Brown vs. the Board Of Education. Which took place in the city of Topeka.  In the State Of Kansas. In the Country of The United States o America.  With a gargantuan force that came to decidedly break the camel’s back;  the Attorney for the Organization that initiated the suit, and The Organization’s Legal Defense and Educational Fund Advisor, the VERY Honorable Thurgood Marshall, argued successfully for the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People.  Speaking for The Supreme Court, himself, and on behalf of the other Justices, Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of the land Earl Warren, made the long awaited, though tearfully prayed for, announcement in favor of the NAACP!

Attorney Thurgood Marshall had used the experiment with the dolls, and the Black children to put the stamp of victory on his case for The NAACP.

Now comes Henry Jackson. He contends that this phenomenon is no where near any phenomenon. He intends to show the Reader (jury) that this LEARNED BEHAVIOR is just that LEARNED!  And it is  gotten by these Black children from two (2) sources. One of them you already know, but did not know that you already knew it. The other one he shall explain to both you, and the Research Community et al.

NUMBER ONE: The first, and by far more evil culprit of the two are the MEDIA. This is to include different varieties of hidden agenda children’s games also. And that Black athletics, and musical artists are just as well at fault, and share a huge amount of the blame, therefore guilt, is without doubt paramount. I do not know if their conduct is dictated by their handlers or themselves. But then too it probably goes back to the Giant MEDIA Empire. As Black heros and heroines gain fame and money; they start to use the Skin Lightening procedures available. And their hair progressively continuously goes from black to a progressive shade of blond. Then their processed/relaxed/permed/multi-colored hair is seen on the MEDIA’s magazine covers, etc. The entire gamut is transversed from nose jobs to bleached epidermises! All unnatural. What?  And you don’t think the children are watching?  Then many seek to marry a lighter hued person then themselves. The Black child sees all of this. Some celebrities marry White! Yes, this too the child sees!  The Legendary Michael Jackson went 100%.  Michael ‘became’ the White doll!  Emphasis emphatically added!

I think the child at times gets the wrong information from their parents. In that they do talk about, and against each other. Black parents might bad talk another Black individual, upset, but not really meaning any real harm. But the young child does not distinguish the difference. All she/he hears are derogatory terms such as black bastard, black bitch, nigger, motherfuckin’ nappy headed this and that. And very sadly, the list goes on! Then society wonders how children are able to profane like they have an Academicianship Certificate in Profanity. Well they get it from you the guardian(s), or other children who in turn got it from their parent(s); or the all encompassing MEDIA. Oh,oh! There is that word again.

MEDIA! Advertisers target, by way of the MEDIA, the money! Who has the money? White folks! The lowest minority of folks have the highest majority of the wealth. Now, it is all about the all mighty dollar. So the MEDIA has to make those who have the money look even better so that this group can put money into the pockets of the advertisers so that they then put money into the pockets of the manufacturers who in turn put even more money into the overflowing pockets of the MEDIA…. World control and domination.   Confused yet?  Allow me to explain then please.  If you will.

The MEDIA by way of hook or crook make the World’s shot callers look good. It, the MEDIA, make disappear the sins of the CLASS ELITE. They too are White. These Elites send troops into other Countries to slaughter the poor populace in the name of greed.  In the name of domination.  Tyranny!  The intention is to divide and control dark pigmented people!

That is the meaning in the arcane MASONIC SYMBOL the SQUARE, and the RULE! Divide and conquer! Divide and conquer.  Divide and RULE!  Divide and control the World! The SCULL and the CROSS BONES!  The black flag of the Jolly Roger!  Anarchy but with a knowing CONTROLLING HAND!

The News Conglomerate knows not to broadcast that News about the take over of Nations done solely for the out right theft of that Country’s Prime Material ! The MEDIA cleans up the mess though through lies and propaganda. White Washed, they the thieves come out all white and brand new.  Then more Use of tax payer’s money in planning, and equiping for the next invasion.  The next take over of a defenseless sovereign non White Nation!

These atrocities to other peoples are not heard on the News Programs though. What is heard is about the Black homeless guy with all odds against him, harmlessly asleep on the cold sidewalk.   That is who, that is what is captioned on television’s Morning News Cast that the child overhears just before the Black children are about to walk out of the door on their way to school where for hours on end very little if anything is ever said about any Black beings that might have done something (anything at all) to benefit society. The talk of the town is about the Black homeless guy, the Black shoot out, the Black drug bust, the Black pregnancy/abortion rate. The Black unemployment rate because Blacks are lazy.

Never mention to these same Black children that it was their forefathers that coerced the White men (cavemen) Neanderthals, and White women (cavewomen) out of the caves of the Northern Caucus Mountains of Europe, and taught them to walk erect! Like we [ to use their term ] BLACK Homo Sapiens walk(ed)…. No where is it told how Black people showed these people that it was okay to wash the layers of caked on filth, and dirt from their bodies.  Because these people erroneously thought that the filthiness warded off sickness!  Never does History mention how men from all over the known world went to Amexem, Thebes, Wo’se, Nowe, Kemit, and Alkebulan.  All different names for the same place AFRICA!  They went to learn the secrets of greatness held only by the Black geniuses of Amexem, of Africa!   These men traveled many miles in order to learn at the feet of the WISDOM MASTERS!  To learn at BLACK feet!  The Great Alexander went and stole some of this great knowledge. Where he took it to was to the yet White heathens of Europe.  Where through the arch plagiarizer Aristotle; light (knowledge) was imparted to the very savage, and backwards Countries of Europe.  These priceless stolen scrolls, and artifacts, are now housed in the GREAT VATICAN City!  Without doubt the abode of SATAN. THE ANTI-BLACK RACE, ANTI-CHRIST demon!  Who along with his vile, evil cohorts (for now) own the Planet Earth!  The Planet Earth was built from the ingenuity, the sweat, the blood,  the abuse, and the tears of the Black MAN! Tell those Black children this bit of information too oh ye diabolical manipulators of the MEDIA.  Let it be known that it is you also you bastard MEDIA you, that control thus corrupt the Black children’s purposely designed to be debilitating – text books!

By all of this good White people, charade, the Black child’s Psyche is bombarded 24/7 with the White’s faultless perfection, with the White’s faultless qualities. And the Scientists do not know why the Black child consistently over the years, after the many studies, still chooses to this day; to pick the White doll? Hell! Under these conditions that we live Reader, give this same test to some grown Black folks, and I deplore you to PLEASE not feel offended when you see one or two of them walking around the Test Site smiling, hugging on a White doll as well. Looking at the genital area to ascertain if it is a male or female doll; and if it pees!

NUMBER TWO: When African children interact with Caucasian children here too key data is gleaned as to why the tiny African hand reaches out first for the Caucasian doll!

When African children are together unsupervised a hierarchy is soon worked out among them. The toughest ones get most of the marbles not having to ever risk loosing any of her/his marbles.  This same scenario of pecking orders applies for unsupervised African siblings in their homes as well.  This standard holds true for Caucasian children too by the way.

A different story unfolds though when these two groups of children are placed together unsupervised mind you!  Unsupervised an African child that might have been ostracized by his/her perspective group in the other sample group just might turn out to be the dominate one in the weaker group.  But assuredly not the child on or near the bottom rung for sure.

This must also have to do with the proven scientific fact.  That an African child develops much faster than a Caucasian child with the very same birth comparison.

So, back to my point.  The African child who was bullied in his/her group is king or queen in the other group.  And that information is not lost on the African child.  This child was not appreciated by her/his peers, but overnight is PRESIDENT of the sandbox when playing with Caucasian children.  And is sudden endowed with Executive Powers!

Therefore when asked which doll this Black child would prefer, of course the child chooses the doll from the group that gives no negative feedback to the child.  THIS DOLL REMINDS THE CHILD OF THE OTHER LITTLE ONES WHERE HE/SHE REIGNS SUPREME!  Their buddies!

When asked which doll (except for coloration the dolls are replicas i.e. exactly alike) is the uglier of the two the African child points towards the black doll.  Of course.  No Caucasian child has ever with frowning face, and bulging eyes taken anything from the African child; that was always the other African children!The BAD children!   It was the other ‘mean’ African children who took his/her toys, and shoved her/him out of the sandbox face down scratched and bleeding.  Pride gone!

What sounds feasible to me as well, in the cases where The African child chose the African doll, is that that particular child is a dominate one.  And for all likelihood could have just as well chosen a Caucasian doll as well.  It would merely depend on what frame of mind the child was in, when asked the question which doll they preferred. It really would not matter for he or she is not intimidated by either group.  But of my examples Numbers One or Number Two, Number One; the MEDIA. overwhelmingly supersedes Number two as the far worse villain by far.

Wake up Black Race!  I beseech you!  I am hollering! If you do not do for yourselves; one for the other, you are collectively DOOMED!  Black people is it that one eye has been lost due to the catharses of  SLAVERY?  And you have a vision deficit in the remaining eye! Can you not see that you have to hold each other aloft or parish individually?  Can you not see that you,  you and you, are your very own salvation?  That you and you are your own DEITIES! If ALL OF YOU Black folks can not see it then can you not intuitate then that god (sic) has already chosen. WAKE UP!  You all’s god has chosen The WHITE DOLL!

So what is it Black people?  The Blue Pill or The Red Pill?  Well?  Which one?  If you do not decide it will be decided for you!  Trust me.  You DO NOT want that!  That is funny!

Lastly, I wonder was there any criteria in these studies ever put in place to prevent the African child from acting in a given way, knowledgeable that the adult observers were in expectation of a specific performance from them?  That would taint (contaminate) the study in such a manner as to actually nullify said results.

Upon ending, and in my mind anyway;  I whole heartedly believe that I have without reserve defended my Dissertation Thesis.  In other words I have proven what I claimed to achieve in my initial theses statements.

Early in his legendary “I Have A Dream” speech, Martin Luther King, Jr. assessed the unhappy situation of black Americans, a century after their emancipation.  It is the darkest passage in a speech blazing with radiant imagery and uplifting messages of hope:

One hundred years later, the Negro still is not free. One hundred years later, the life of the Negro is still sadly crippled by the manacles of segregation and the chains of discrimination. One hundred years later, the Negro lives on a lonely island of poverty in the midst of a vast ocean of material prosperity. One hundred years later, the Negro is still languished in the corners of American society and finds himself an exile in his own land. And so we’ve come here today to dramatize a shameful condition.

The better part of five decades has passed since that speech was delivered, the Civil Rights Act was signed, and Lyndon Johnson’s Great Society was engineered.  Sadly, Dr. King’s diagnosis could be pronounced again today, with only a few minor changes.

That lonely island of poverty is still there, lost in the tides of material prosperity.  The unemployment rate for black Americans is almost ninety percent higher than for whites, whose have it bad enough in today’s jobless economy.  The Census Bureau reports the average per capita income of blacks to be only $18,000 per year, compared to over $30,000 for whites.  The rate of home ownership is about 20% lower for blacks, while they own a mere 5% of small businesses.


The corners of American society remain a place of exile.  Black illegitimacy rates hover above 72%, which is more than triple the rate for whites or Asians… and more than triple what it was at the beginning of the Great Society era, when most black children were raised in two-parent households.  Blacks represent about 13% of the American population, but account for 36% of all abortions.  They suffer disproportionately from violent crime, with about half of all homicide victims being black.  There are areas where the high school graduation rate for black males is well under 25%.

Most of these social and economic indicators have been getting worse, year after year, despite a vast amount of money and energy poured into the black community by liberal programs.  Perhaps “despite” is not the right word… for much of black America’s plight is caused by the Big Government programs intended to help them.

Blacks suffer much collateral damage from the collapse of urban America.  Big cities have been wrecked by decades of liberal control.  Cities like Detroit have been virtually destroyed as high taxes, stifling regulations, and public-union dominance killed businesses or drove them away.  Black Americans have traditionally been concentrated in urban areas, ever since the Great Migration of the nineteenth century, although recent Census data suggests they are beginning to move away from dying blue-state cities.  It’s not hard to see why a population that tends to live in those cities would experience high rates of crime and unemployment.

The urban mindset, which looks for centralized solutions to big problems, does black America no favors… especially when combined with the toxin of generational welfare dependency.  Every black American is born into a system which regards his or her life as a problem to be solved, rather than an opportunity to be explored. 

Large populations tend to respond to social incentives and penalties.  The Great Society subsidized a landscape of broken homes, in which the acid of an entitlement mentality dissolves ambition.  This has done more damage to the black community than any diabolical plan hatched by dimwits in white sheets could possibly inflict.  A black child of the Fifties faced a formidable enemy in racial discrimination… but a black child in today’s America faces an even more relentless enemy when he looks at the empty seat where his father should be sitting.

The system of dependence and futility built around black Americans needs them to survive.  It will not easily let them escape.  Black children find themselves trapped in a failing public education system, which has vast amounts of money and political clout available to keep the doors chained shut.  The District of Columbia Opportunity Scholarship voucher program for disadvantaged kids, which was shut down by the Obama Administration but may soon be re-authorized by Congress, enjoys 74% support from the community.  That didn’t stop Obama from killing it without any of his customary dithering or fanfare. 
Black Americans have the misfortune to be one of the largest political collectives in the American electorate.  The Democrat Party depends on collecting 85% or more of a substantial black turnout for its political survival.  In order to keep these voters motivated and properly bundled, black leaders and white liberals sell a narrative of hopelessness.  That is the only logical conclusion to draw, when told that getting through life is impossible without the maternal protection of a vast government.  It’s the end result of denying there can ever be a permanent triumph over racism, and even temporary victory is impossible for individuals.  Only a desolate life could be shaped entirely by the hatred of others.

Hope flourishes in response to opportunity.  A decade of rapidly expanding government has crushed opportunity beneath its bulk, and this is especially devastating to the fragile hopes of underprivileged minorities.  The cost of labor has been artificially increased.  Regulatory barriers have been placed before business formation.  Investment capital has been made scarce.  Even the dream of home ownership was cruelly perverted into a financial time bomb, which detonated when liberal ideology saddled eager minority homeowners with debts they could never repay.

The endless class warfare rhetoric of the Left teaches its clients to hate their own aspirations, and turn away in disgust from those they should be studying.  No greater disservice has ever been done to the poor than convincing them to make enemies of the people who might wish to hire them.  Replacing ambition with resentment is equivalent to handing a sledgehammer to a drowning man. 

No deviation from liberal orthodoxy is allowed – the Left slanders no one as viciously as a black conservative.  The clients of liberalism are reduced to making increasingly angry demands for diminishing increases in a bankrupt quest for “social justice.”  Unacceptable results are protected by making alternative solutions unthinkable.  The result is a vicious cycle of political addiction.  Liberalism is the new crack.

In his Lincoln-Douglass Dinner speech last month, black freshman Congressman Allen West (R-FL) summed up the situation: “It has been almost 50 years since President Lyndon Johnson’s Great Society and many in the black community are still waiting.  Many of the same problems of the 1960s remain today. For too long, the choice has been to give a handout instead of a hand-up.  Liberal politicians continue the same old tired policies of dependence on big government – always the promise that government will solve your problems. We are indeed creating the Nanny States of America.”

The answer is not a policy, but rather the elimination of policies that keep black Americans from finding their own answers.  Like every other segment of the American population, they hold ideas beyond the imagination of central planners, and can find opportunities invisible to government bureaucrats.  The sum of liberal race theory is the assertion that minorities cannot compete in a hostile, racist world.  There was a day when systemic discrimination was an obstacle to competition… but it’s time for us to break the cycle of political addiction by recognizing that day has passed. 

There is, and will always be, racism in every society on Earth.  Racists no longer have power in the United States.  It is no longer necessary to deploy massive, intrusive, expensive government power to battle their phantom memory.  Martin Luther King, Jr. and the other heroes of the civil rights movement were not just brave and determined, they were victorious.  What service is rendered to the black community by denying their victory?

The policies that benefit black Americans are the same policies that benefit all Americans.  The black middle class was growing rapidly before the current recession.  Remove the barriers government has placed before business formation and growth, and the black middle class will resume its upward trajectory.  What does any free man, of any color, need more than a decent job, offered and accepted willingly… or the chance to build a business that offers such jobs to other men?

Every subsidy is also an incentive, something liberals freely admit when they talk about the alleged social benefits of their favorite policies.  If we remove the subsidies for promiscuous behavior and broken homes, we will eliminate a poisonous incentive that has done terrible harm to the intended beneficiaries.  Name a social pathology, and rest assured it is worse among illegitimate children, especially in the inner city.  Black America needs its fathers back.

Our public school system produces inferior educations at fantastic expense.  It says minority children cannot be properly educated without even greater expense.  It’s long past time to let competitive private educators accept that challenge.  The graduation rate for the D.C. Opportunity Scholarship Program was 91%.  That’s thirty points higher than D.C. public schools could manage.

In a recent column, black conservative author and radio host Larry Elder pointed out that Ronald Reagan’s much-vilified “tax cuts for the rich” and “trickle-down economics” cut the unemployment rate for blacks from 20% in 1982 down to 11% in 1989.  Under Barack Obama, by contrast, the black unemployment rate is over 15%.  The Reagan years also saw black-owned businesses grow by 38%, which was more than triple the robust growth for all American business.  And yet, Reagan is smeared as a racist because he opposed affirmative action programs.  Even those who believe in the necessity of those programs should be open-minded enough to concede that by doing the right thing for all Americans, Reagan’s economic policies did a stunning amount of good for black workers and business owners.

The most revered moment in Martin Luther King’s speech was his dream that his children would live in a nation where they would “not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character.”  To be conservative is to have boundless faith in the content of their character… and the character of their fellow citizens.  It is time to do away with policies that assume our character is corrupt.  No one ever broke an addiction without faith.

It is said that perception is reality.  Consider this perception:  88% of Americans who claim to be affiliated with the Tea Party Movement believe that if African-Americans would  work hard like other immigrant groups, it would put them on an equal socio-economic level with the rest of America.   56% of all Americans have these same perceptions.

In this “post-racial” America  these type of numbers reflect how mis-informed so many of us are about the factors that affect group mobility in this country.  As a nation we still have much teaching to do in order to change these grossly over-simplified, incorrect perceptions that make second-class citizenship a continued reality for large portions of our society.

This is Not Your Parents Union Anymore!

The New Union Cartels.

For the past few weeks our state has been engaged in a debate over unions and their right to Collectively Bargain and for fair concessions that will keep Wisconsin “open for business.”

A few things struck me as I talked and debated with people from both sides. One thing that was obvious is that there is a large number of people that still think unions are the same organizations they once were fifty years ago when they took hold in our state. In those first years, unions did stand for equality and fairness in the workplace. They championed the middle class worker and voiced opposition to unfair work environments and wages. They offered protection for those who had no other recourse when injustice reared its ugly head.

But fast- forward to 2011, and see what unions have become. They are equal to the fat cat Wall Street tycoons using Collective Bargaining to hold states hostage with unfair demands, moving the pendulum of politics to their side with big money and bullying tactics rival to the DNR and RNC respectively. They own the very health insurance companies that we pay into. Yes United Healthcare, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Humana, and WEA Trust. They are an integral part of the national problem of healthcare gone wrong. Yet your tax dollars fully fund WEA and you can guess what their invoices for medical services look like. If you thought St. Luke’s, Columbia, or Wheaton Franciscan were taxing for aspirin, WEA triple’s the cost and passes the expense on to you, the unknowing taxpayer.

One of many owned and operated union businesses, WEA Trust is an insurance company established by Wisconsin Education Association Council (WEAC). WEA Trust has grown very fat on public dollars, with a net worth of $316 million and a team of 12 administrators all receiving compensation packages worth six figures per year.

The unions of today pump millions of our tax dollars into campaign funds each year and poison the very fabric of our moral fiber by tainting our elected government and political parties, influencing and misinforming voters, and using bullying tactics equal to “The Godfather” Vito Corleone for Cadillac compensations and benefits for themselves as well and subsequently for their workers. Ask yourselves, how can they afford to reserve hotel rooms and banquet halls, providing computer access and bringing in people from all around the country to harass elected officials and influence the media outlets? Think of the money they must be paying, your money they are paying, to do this ongoing with no end in sight. This is not the union that stands with the working man anymore; they have become fraudulent, exploitive sheep headers leading us all off a cliff, a point of no return. We must rein them in and remind them for who and what they stand if their union members will not.

They can no longer be just seen for what they used to do, fighting for the injustices of innocent union members, standing for equal pay, and such trivial issues. We must begin to see the ugliness of what they actually do as well. Yes there is some good still there, but as with any unattended child, they have regressed into a monster of a villain, hoodwinking many into thinking they are still the innocent virgin at the prom. I assure they are not that anymore! Look how they are willing to sell out 7500 jobs, leaving these unlucky union members unemployed, laid off, or worse, fired. We simply cannot afford to fund the long standing reality that government jobs are superior to the private sector. There should be no “reward” or incentive for one servant’s labor over another. We should all be equally valued workers giving our best. And those who do not serve well should not be protected by a union shill just because. We need to see results for benefits, pay to play if you will!

Most people do not realize the “contributions” unions make in campaign donations, well into the hundreds of millions. People certainly do not realize that unions own some of our elected government. They are not our parents union anymore as they have shown in actions and deeds that they are as corrupt as any corporation or big business enterprise or mogul. Some of our elected have sold their souls to the unions and can no longer represent us fairly and equally, thus debauching the democratic process.

Franklin D Roosevelt, the “New Deal” Democratic president warned against the unholy matrimony of unions and government. In a letter dated July 14, 1937, he stated:

“The desire of Government employees for fair and adequate pay, reasonable hours of work, safe and suitable working conditions, development of opportunities for advancement, facilities for fair and impartial consideration and review of grievances, and other objectives of a proper employee relations policy, is basically no different from that of employees in private industry. Organization on their part to present their views on such matters is both natural and logical, but meticulous attention should be paid to the special relationships and obligations of public servants to the public itself and to the Government.”

This singular issue of government and union relationships compelled the federal government not to allow Collective Bargaining to this day. They knew full well how this relationship would destroy democracy and so it has. States all over the country (24 to be exact with more on states jumping on the bandwagon), do not have Collective Bargaining and have replaced this “bargaining” with equal opportunity resources that continue to champion the rights of our government employees while sharing concern for the taxpayers they represent. Wisconsin and Walker need to make the case to the workers and to taxpayers that we DO INDEED have in place, fail safes to prevent bad work environments and comprehensive salary/wage and benefit packages. We do have several entities that mirror each other in protecting all workers public and private. I might add in this day and age of living viral, all it takes is a push of the button, and you are YouTube’s next sensation with a legal firm and millions on the way! Liken to winning the lottery really.

In my opinion, Walker is correct to deal with this issue right off the bat. He was given a clear mandate by the majority of this state in November. We as a state need to decide do we really want to cut spending and move forward or do we want to give unions and big business more power and more influence over our tax dollars. Unions do not loose sleep at night watching states fall in to the peril of bankruptcy. Hence California!! Instead they enjoy buying into failed corporations like what we saw in the UAW vs. GM debacle. They kissed their workers goodbye and became members of GM without a blink of the eye!

Did we elect Walker to be a RINO (Republican In Name Only) or to get an ugly job done? Somebody has to get our state back on track! Do we want to leave our kids in debt or act like we are fiscally responsible? Do we want to continue living like there is money growing on an endless tree somewhere? I for one would like to see unions provide ballot voting by their union members for the union to exist. I would like to see an end to government unions financing politicians from any party, and I would like to see unions open up their books to show where all their money is spent and what they own. They need to be taxed like businesses if they want to operate like one. Their insurance and other companies need to adhere to the same laws that other businesses do. For too long we have kept the image of what unions used to be in our heads, because we don’t like what unions look like now. In order for this state and this nation to move forward we must face the demons that keep us oppressed. Government unions, not their members, have overstepped their bounds and must be treated as the money grubbing cartels that they have become, assaulting our very right to live and enjoy the same freedoms as they do.

And one last point if Walker was wrong, why is Mayor Tom Barrett suggesting the same concessions be made at the local level? Again proving Walker IS on to something here!

One little aside, AFSCME, one of the main unions outraged by the mess in Wisconsin gloats about how underpaid they are. Check out how miserably paid they really are:

Yes. Workers who are union members earn 30 percent more than non-union workers. Union wages are even greater for women and people of color. Women and African Americans represented by unions earn over 33 percent more than their non-union counterparts. And Latino workers with the union advantage make over 46 percent more than those not represented by a union.
