SOTU 2012…Disney Meets Washington

Disney Meets Washington

SOTU 2012 WW Style!

As I tucked my kids in for bed last night I was not the only one telling fairytales and painting dreams of a most vivid and vibrant future and a “happily ever after.” I was joined by President Obama in fantasy and fiction telling. As we lay our “kids” to bed in the hopes they are nourished in the dreams and alternate realities we lay out for them, what did we really say? NOT MUCH!! Although I was preaching from the gospel of Disney. Mr. Obama’s  fairytale should have come from the Brothers Grimm!

We all knew what he would say; we just wanted to see the delivery. Something akin to watching the Olympics. We knew the routine but will it be presented in the manner in which it had been so well scripted and crafted? Yes he stuck his landing pretty good last night. He got 9’s and 10’s from the masses of those holding out for hope and change 3 years in, but for those of us living in reality we walked away questioning “where IS the beef?”

For those of us in Wisconsin who seem to have short term memory loss regarding this president, I was baffled that his message was not met with a little more pessimism. He had promised so much yet delivered nothing to those who waited in vain for the man who would supposedly lace up his sneakers and join the picket line. I watched as these same people who are so disgusted with the progress in Wisconsin and Milwaukee, give a clear pass to this man simply based on his vocal stylings. What else could it be? He has created no substantial hope or change, just more of the same. He is an average politician with above average rhetoric but we dare not call him out or lest we be cast out of this sheep society for free thought.

If you had put his record out there of job loss, dismal education progress, and his relationship with Wall Street/rich cronies, just to name a few, you could easily compare him to Scott Walker, but you would love him instead of hate him. And I make this comparison using the left’s logic. If I took left pundit talking points and used their definition (or rhetoric) of failed leadership, I could easily insert and invoke the name of Obama and be meaning Scott Walker (or vice versa). “Doesn’t care about blacks, loss of economic empowerment for blacks, hanging with the rich instead of the poor, doesn’t give his millions to charity,” etc. al.

The man who met with Hispanics and the LBGT communities but told us to stop our whining, this is your hero? The same man who left you at the altar in Wisconsin and never backed you up when you absolutely needed him, you want to give him another 4 years to do the same ignoring of you? I just do not get it. I really don’t.

He spoke about teachers and supporting good ones, while letting bad ones go. That is just what we did here in Wisconsin! You are welcome Mr. President courtesy of Governor Walker and the Republican Party. We gave back to the school districts and tax payers what the union fat cats took away. We gave communities tools like Act 10 and the right to not have to enter into affluent contracts with the likes of WEA Trust who were really only union tax stealing money pits. Instead we put in accountability and mandates to teach our 4 year olds how to read or answer to” we the people.” We chose CHOICE over forced; we opted out of unhealthy relationships and into thriving partnerships of true transparency and government of the people, by the people. We created a manageable budget and began to pay back those we owed.

The President thrust out General Motors as if it is the company we once knew it to be. It is not! The jobs are mostly gone. The company is pretty much fluent in Spanish or Asian. Sure on the books some of it is here but it is not the General Motors your parents once owned or worked for! Those jobs are gone and only administration and lobbying positions remain. We as a country do not own much at all as most of our jobs are all overseas and creation has been in stagnation. We are owned by China and have a downgraded credit rating. Mr. President close the tax loop holes already. You keep saying it but you never do it. Stand for something before you use Martin’s name. We bailed out everyone but the middle class yet you stood their last night and spun yarns of the brightest of prosperities which is neither our reality nor will it be anytime soon.

He said the unemployment cycle was “a maze.” You betcha it’s a maze and under whose watch did it become this ongoing forest of trees for which we cannot see the sun anymore?

He talked about the American Dream, the precious American Dream as if it was the governments to give and take away. What happened to capitalism and free enterprise? What’s mine is mine dammit! It is not the government’s to do with as it sees fit. You can have your taxed share, but you are not entitled to sustain life on the backs of the middle class and do away with the things that make people self-sufficient. Government is not supposed to be growing and all powerful. Its job is to monitor and assist, not become the provider and head of household. It is already enough that welfare, the great failed social experiment, has grown and continues to fester yet we wonder why jobs are going away, education sucks, and the onus of personal responsibility has been replaced with apathetic sheep who know nothing of economic empowerment and SAVING!!!

Mr. President you warned about shady dealings in the Congress but yet you have no answer for Solyndra or the “Fast and Furious “ programs. Did you think we would forget? How about the fact that the CBC Head, Emanuel Clever said if it where Clinton and he had done what you have done to your own, he would have been marched upon. Africa is seeing the worst of times yet you do far less than the last president.  Not to mention you an African killed leader we had no impending threat from. You are one of their own sons, their own. If you could do this to them why should we African Americans expect more?

However we extended our card and gave this “brother” a great big pass and turned a sorry blind eye to our treatment. We keep worrying about the known racists yet we refuse to call out the ones WE OURSELVES keep in the dark. And if we don’t bring him and those like him to light, who are we to demand anything more from anyone else when the most powerful person on the planet is given a pass to ignore and destroy us? Sheep! Stand and defend yourselves.

We in Wisconsin have our own flock of sheep and we sheep follow loyally those with family name and privilege to the grave in hopes they may rise to the standards of their ancestors. Most of them have not and yet we say nothing or elect more of them or give them new titles and benefits without questioning one word about their lack of assistance and support to this community. We also follow those who have been our “brother” or “sister” because we are too wimpy to ask them what they have done for us, US!!!! So it is no surprise to me that the Wisconsin black will not stand now.

As an aside the potential candidates for many of our races here back home in “Wisconsinland” (which seems to be the last bastion for real hope and change) have criminal backgrounds or of misappropriation of funds that should send us screaming away if we really wanted to make a difference. Instead we line up and get their white “masas” to line up for us too! Sandy Paasch has no business in county politics! Barrett has no business in state politics! They are not our allies. Barrett has reigned over a Milwaukee that had gone from #3 in segregation to #1, staying strong in first place, and yet we clap and cheer him on. No one vets these new black potential candidates anymore in the community. We depend on Bice, Ingram, or Kane to possibly do that. One little visit to CCAP should put the fear of God into your hearts and wallets, but we only use that on potential soul mates.

Sorry went off on a little tangent, but it needed to be pointed out…

MILWAUKEE CITY AND COUNTY RESIDENTS USE CCAP and/or GOOGLE AND VOTE ACCORDINGLY!!!

Just a little friendly warning before you regret giving even more pathetic, benefit seeking, lying, cheating, living off us, smile in your face, dagger behind the back, desperate for incomes, lacking leadership, low life scum, these new jobs and then wonder why we cannot get rid of them and why our communities look tore up!!! HALLEJUAH AMEN! I hope I emphasized enough that there are some real threats to our own community from within trying to take advantage while we are putting all our resources and attention into getting rid of Scott Walker. WATCH OUT LITTLE SHEEP! Danger, danger!!!! Scott Walker is NOT our biggest threat.

As with any relationship do a little searching and ask them the questions. CCAP and Google are our best tools in deciding local elections.

I will elaborate more on this as we get closer to these elections.

Anway back to POTUS. His speech was great. I respect the man, I really do, but at the same time like any jilted lover, I cannot forget! “Let’s stay together.” Indeed Mr. President. I will meet you on Main Street but I will not be messed over twice, not if I can help it. You made promises of hope and change, gave us visions of grandeur and have delivered very little especially to US!

So as with any fairytale, I have come to the conclusion that American reality was not found in the great oratorical spectacle given last night. It is pending lore from the fairytales found in the Brothers Grimm tales. Three years of ignoring US and ignoring the platform you ran upon shan’t be rewarded but must be accounted for and we are owed an apology at the very least for invoking in America, especially Black America, visions of a real future of growth and opportunity. Very little progress was made in the great race debate and that was because it was used, used to create feelings of true change and real hope when in reality there really never was an US in your heart. Just opportunity for you and yours alone.

Whites cannot say it, nor will they address it openly or honestly. They are scared and have their own agenda which is not ours at all. Instead they created Occupy movements that mask their criticisms and racism. They do not intend to give you more rope, nor do they intend to ever” Occupy” us with money or time. They simply do not have need for us and use us as a means to an end. This, this was another failed experiment in social justice gone horribly wrong. I hope we at least can see that this man is not MLK or Malcolm. He does not intend to change the path of the African American or make a significant dent in Black history, other than being the first biracial president with a hype swag and flare. This man is a smooth-talking object of affection sent from the left, designed to tide us over until they get their power and move on sans us.

An Inconvenient Truth: Wisconsin Recalls are Draining Us!

An Inconvenient Truth

Wisconsin Recalls are Draining Us Financially and Emotionally!

Here we go again with another recall cycle. This time the next up to the execution block is Governor Scott Walker. However this recall won’t be as easy as some people seem to think. There are a lot of factors that will not be reflected in the polls or by the media.  These factors are an ever growing silent majority that does not factor in until the final vote is cast and counted. Whether you are Republican or Democrat there is much to think about before you sign your name to any recall petition or refute the whole process entirely.

Along with the expanded silent majority, there is a certain incumbent president who is not going to be sending back up or finances as he did in the past. He needs these things for himself as well as for other key federal House and Senate races. Wisconsin is just not high on his priority list, if it ever was since he never did show up to lace his tennis shoes and join in the protests as he promised.

Firstly we are tired of elections, recalls, and everything political. It takes a toll and Wisconsin has pretty much had enough collectively. By the time November 2012 elections come we will be well past our breaking point of politics I fear. Not long ago Steve Forbes said that out of all this political turmoil some good will come. Americans will grow weary of the process which will result in new parties and a better way of doing business for the government in all its facets. I hope he is right.

Wisconsin Recalls

To recall a sitting Wisconsin Governor the movement will need 540,206 signatures, one-fourth the amount of all the ballots cast last November. That is a lot of campaigning and cost.

One must ask themselves is this a worthy effort? Of course my answer is no simply because of the cost, time, effort, and undue reasons for the recall effort. This is just retaliation of this governor’s reform policies and union heads desperately trying to keep their cushy salaries and mock companies like WEA Trust. If people hate the Koch Brothers, they surely should be disgusted with the union heads making well into the 6k figures and the people buying and selling politicians every single day along with the Kochs. Secondly, union heads are bussing in thousands to take advantage of the 28 day provision to vote and that seems highly unfair. Thirdly, why should we not expect people to pay their fair share to their pensions and get Wisconsin in line with national numbers regarding pensions and insurance premiums? Fourthly, this is the season of giving. At a time when our nation is seeing poverty hit record numbers these recalls, protests, and other movements are disenfranchising the most vulnerable of our fellow Americans, especially the homeless and working poor. They simply cannot afford to see a drop in giving and donations.

Of course there are people who do not have any answers but respond like robots “Koch, Koch, Koch.” That is but one family of many that use and abuse the system. Where is the outrage and outcry for all lobbyists and billionaires and millionaires who take advantage of government corruption? The government is broke all every level. The Kochs’ like “Shenana on Vliet” are simply using a very broken system to get ahead. Why not name and blame all abusers of the system? If Obama has raised more than any of the Republican nominees combined, given billions to Solyndra and the like, where is the recall for him? He along with Eric Holder knew about the “Fast and the Furious” program. We now have guns in the hands of Mexican cartels killing innocent Americans and yet we say very little. But we want to crucify this governor for way less. Please at least be consistent with your stance. I would respect these protestors more if there was not obvious hypocrisy run amuck from the start of these recalls to the end.

For those poor college students who are just in it to be part of something meaningful, there are a lot of organizations that could use your help, instead of suing the homeless and walking past them as if they don’t matter to “fight for them” when in fact the sight of them grosses you out. What are you really there for? In my observations I did see two times where Occupiers walked right past homeless people with their hot and fresh Starbucks and bags of food to find land to sit and protest in. I could only shake my head and wonder if they even see these people. Nationwide this is also a regular occurrence.

Why are we recalling Walker?

People have their reasons from “union busting” to “imposing” state mandates that they feel hurt their financial bottom lines. They have every right to campaign for a recall, but it doesn’t make it sensible or even feasible. We can see by the lowering tax levies, school district savings, and increases to jobs and tourism that Wisconsin is indeed moving forward, just not in the direction fat cat union bosses would like. WEA Trust being one of the most wounded in this reform effort. They are now having to compete for the first time in a long time with other insurance companies for bids and contracts. How could that be wrong? People feel like they lost their voice with unions not having Collective Bargaining rights but through the protestors we have seen time and time again that some of these people had too many privileges that they abused and seem to be out of touch with real Americans and real world pensions and real world benefits. Some union members were exposed and were hiding behind the union because they were simply incompetent and the unions protected them time and time again.

So retaliation heads up this recall. It is a chance to get some payback for Alberta Darling, for Waukesha mishaps, for Republicans taking over what Democrats took advantage of. But payback is costing us all money we could be using to save the very things they fear losing!

Why he won’t be recalled in the end?

Now I am no political predictor, but in this case I am going to predict the silent majority is again going to speak up and very profoundly. After January when they see lowered property taxes, then it’s game over on the protests for sure. I could be wrong, but I think Choice parents are not going to say or declare loudly their support for Walker, but if you do not think they don’t know what is at stake, I can assure you that they do. If not, people like me are making them aware that Choice is a privilege we need to protect at all costs and by any means necessary.

The silent majority is growing by leaps and bounds, with the expansion of Choice and people actually educating themselves to the governor’s detailing of our successes and failures.  We can see for ourselves what is or is not being accomplished. Home owners will not be paying more in taxes from the state. People will not be charged new or raised fees from the state. Families with kids in good Choice schools won’t give that up for this cause. There are a lot of us in Choice and we are happy and willing to fight to keep our kids in these schools. And please don’t mistake that for MPS hate. I support MPS 110% but am I willing to risk my kids future for it? Not right now. I believe a lot of people think as I do about Choice who are now in the program. When MPS decides to decentralize and blend back into its surrounding neighborhoods, then it will move forward instead of going around and around like a chicken with its head cut off.

In the end I think people are just sick of all this partisan bickering and are going to send a message that they are sick of it by voting, by not participating, and not giving in to the same old tired scare tactics that have been used in Wisconsin over and over again from both parties. You only can scare Seniors so much with Medicare and they start to see the pattern. With the Alberta Darling recall campaign we saw this used time and time again. The Seniors knew that this is federal funded program and were not happy that they were being played for fools by the Democrats.

Now if Scott Walker does something dumb, he can kiss it all good bye so I suggest he not answer the phone without a proper screening!!!!! I have already said his right hand man is the weak link in a blog I wrote some months ago. So there is his worst weakness. He also has to get into black media. Buy the first page of the Community Journal for all of December or start infiltrating all things black, except churches unless they have Choice schools. Been there done that! Be creative! He also has to make a case to Milwaukee better than what he has been doing. Use Mayor Barrett’s Milwaukee Budget to show factually the tools Barrett did used that were given from the state in Milwaukee’s Budget. Form a cabinet or commission of Blacks to address segregation and Black concerns in the state. This is leadership beyond the typical and will help Walker start to deal with things he simply does not have the capacity to understand.

Yes Walker has reigned in spending but job creation has been lacking here in Milwaukee. I think partly due to an incompetent mayor and his inability to think outside the box, or possibly he is doing this on purpose to help the recall effort. He has an axe to grind as well right? Walker has to show how those jobs are going to funnel this way. He has to show people what was prior to his arrival. Be like Obama here and run against Doyle (or Obama) if you will, similar to when Obama ran against Bush’s record. Doyle set the bar so low Walker can’t help but surpass him on most every issue. Then lastly make the case to the state of who is going to do better. Thus far I have yet to see a name that has any pull. Barrett, Milwaukee really? Have we not had enough of him? Baldwin, are we not tired of paying for her lavish trips and gross abuse of taxpayer money? Kohl, need I say more? What could he possibly do? He is older now and never was a mover and shaker anyhow. What name would send fear into my heart?

To be honest Lena Taylor and a round two for these two would be a political pundit’s dream date. She has a new group of friends and they have money and power. She has worked the circuit, forsaking the people of her district to go national and might be a good match up if she can reign in her unbridled passion to the point of insanity for sensibility and calmness. Other than Taylor, I see very few that have broad appeal and power to draw the masses.

In the end though, I think the silent majority is willing to give this governor his four years to make his case. I certainly am one of those who will give him a chance. We asked this of Obama and I won’t be a hypocrite now. Give him his term and then vote him out. It will save us all a lot of time, money, and consternation. Knowing the sentiment of many, we are just plain tired of the whole political drama that is Wisconsin right now. We need a break from politics! The question will be just how complacent and frustrated are we? The second biggest question is who would they designate to replace him? A union shill no doubt. Has the rhetoric become part of the average life of a Wisconsinite or will revenge be a dish served piping hot as it has not had one minute to cool off.

The inconvenient truth is that for all the complaining about resources or lack thereof and money we supposedly don’t have to waste; unions and protestors are sure quick to use it to keep their bennies and stranglehold on this state.  In the end isn’t that what it’s all about? What grand master scheme has this governor unraveled to continue threats to his family, the constant obnoxious demonstrations that are just ludicrous. “Demon”-strators at the man’s personal home and at his kids activities and events? Extreme anger and by the way, when you ask these people what they are so upset about, most can only recite Democratic/Union rhetoric as if reading from the pamphlets and websites. Try taking them off script and they fumble like Ahman Green.

What has he done that even rises to the level of what Doyle has done to us? Whether it is Doyle’s trial lawyer friends running this state, to the racist contracts given with no other bids even allowed for consideration, to the good for nothing covenants that our kids were promised for college. This governor may be connected to some questionable characters but what has that led to? Not much of anything newsworthy yet. I guess they have access to the governor more so than I, but can that not be said of any politician?

Whatever happens throughout this recall cycle let us all demand some level of civility from each of these parties, some boundaries about where and what is acceptable protesting, and a new way of politicking in Wisconsin that does not include rhetoric but is born of facts and sensibility our kids can witness for once!

Wednesday Rants. WW Wednesday All Over The Place!

Wednesday Rants. WW Wednesday All Over The Place!

There are so many fun issues to talk about where to start?

On the Federal Front:

President Barak Obama’s speech to the CBC (Congressional Black Caucus) created quite the stir. I cannot find too many people who liked it or gathered hope and change from it. What we did see was a very desperate man making a feeble attempt to get back his blackness by preaching to us in “our lingo.” He should really stay away from shoe references at this point. From his “lacing up his shoes to join with us on the picket lines” to telling us to “take off our slippers and fight with him,” he just doesn’t see how his policies and lack of leadership has hurt Blacks to the point that even his most avid defenders are sick of hearing him talk. His speech, in my opinion, was a misguided fling to get Blacks back in step. He tried to simmer the boil of the CBC and other Black leaders who are tired of going back to their constituents and explaining why things are only getting worse. He tells us if we love him we will make calls and get his bill passed, but he has yet to submit a bill that is defendable. He has only more stimulus money to hand out and we all know how version 1.0 turned out.

Obama’s attack on Libya and his Palestinian missteps show that even his cabinet may not be helping him out of the hole but putting him further in one.

And if that was not enough, Michelle Obama was caught in a “candid” viral moment at a 9-11 ceremony lipping her distain for the flag folding and utter distain in her eye rolling for the pomp and circumstance that patriots and veterans took notable offense to.

However I must say that I enjoyed how Obama handled the “antichrist” heckler and have to acknowledge his moment of levity which was appreciated by all who tuned in! Good one Mr. President!

State Silliness:

In desperate attempts to remain relevant, Lena Taylor seems to be all over the Wisconsin Eye Channel as of late arguing with anyone who crosses her path. First a little cat fight “meow” with Alberta Darling about ???? It simply made no sense. Then we find her attacking Leah Vukmir in a hearing about Voter ID, specifically online usage and Student ID’s. Her rant was a failed attempt to get some press and face time. If she really cared about ID usage, she would be at Aurora, Columbia, or Wheaton Franciscan fighting the disenfranchisement and racism at hospitals that require ID for treatment or medication. Her argument of disenfranchisement and anyone else’s for that matter, is nonsense to me until I see them at the hospitals, in the welfare lines, or at other poverty/minority resource facilities that require ID for any type of service.

http://www.wiseye.org/videoplayer/vp.html?sid=7006

Lena’s Facebook shenanigans landed her in a bit of trouble when she called for a boycott of Koch Brothers financed products. Not doing her research and not understanding the damage she was doing to local workers here in Wisconsin, she recanted a bit. Her childish boycott controversy, which others gravitated to, was another failed attempt to get back on MSNBC. I gather she misses Ed Schultz and she is doing all she can to find her way back in to the national scene. When she had to quick back pedal her initial boycott statement, she showed us her true intentions were of a self-serving nature and that even she has a line she will not cross. That silent majority is a group you do not want to contend with unless you have your ducks in a row. Smoothing things out and clarifying (separating fact from fiction) only weakened her stance and her movement. The boycott became another money making venture for the listed rivals and an embarrassing moment for her and her blind followers.

Lena’s Facebook postings which look more like teenage diary entries, document her supposed daily routines including Bible study which does not seem to be helping her with her anger management problems. Somehow these postings rally her faithful and they just pour out the love, even though she is nothing more than rhetoric at this point. For such a spiritual person, she sure could use a sermon or two on human compassion and good stewardship.

What I do not see from her are job creation meetings or issues directly impacting her district. I do not see her insisting on face time with Walker on behalf of her district or even her attending Walker’s meetings for job creation in the state. The meetings she should be at so we can have representation there with those bringing jobs or thinking of doing business here in Wisconsin. She does not address the MMSD Sewage overspending and misspending issues recently brought to light. Nor does she discuss why she thinks Milwaukee homeowners should cough up $3000 each to repair the sewers. You really have to search long and hard to find how she is relevant to “us.” If you think Obama has turned a blind eye, you really should question Lena’s actions and wonder where she is headed. Sorry hun, they got a Black guy on MSNBC, they usually don’t take too many more. If your hope is to become relevant past your district, try the old-fashioned route of being a way maker and not a destructive typical angry blowhard. If you are going to go off on state officials, take a page from Rep. Jason Fields. He called out the nonsense and opened up some eyes to the reality of our people and this community. You could say something nice once in a while and remember that Spiderman speech… “with great power comes great responsibility…” If you are trying to lead a movement and truly stand in conviction then be someone approachable and not a leader of the unionistas. Try to give us something we can get behind and fight for. Her need for affection and attention from her new found union friends is still not helping those in HER DISTRCIT!!!! Hello Lena, we are still here!! Time to move on past the infamous “fleeing 14” incident and find a new gig.

Local Lunacy:

M.I.A. Mayor Barrett came out of hiding and released his budget for 2012 this week. While others don’t seem to know it or care to talk about it, he got his political payback against our firefighters by axing some of their jobs. He raised property taxes by 4.4% and scaled back library hours meanwhile saving $8 million to compensate city workers pension plans and benefits “just in case.” Really?

Firstly, our firefighters are the first responders and they are needed. His blatant attack on firefighters is a blatant attack on us. Do remember he closed fire houses in the last budget and left firefighters with few tools to continue to save lives and do so in a timely and well-staffed manner. Shame, shame, shame!! But no outrage, no call for those jobs to be saved. Where are the marches from homeowners already fighting to save their homes in this economy and no protests to save our libraries that are much more than book storage facilities. They are the places we go to create and send resumes, to apply online for jobs, to get online resources. In the inner city where online communication is not prevalent in every home with the capabilities we need to do adequate job searching or learning, the library is our best hope at obtaining any chance of opportunity. We also do not have kindles but we do have lots of Blacks in schools needing to access libraries.

At a time when we need more first responders, Barrett felt revenge against Gov. Walker and some unions (who mind you did not ask to be put out of the Collective Bargaining mess), was even more paramount. This very brazen act will eventually hurt or kill someone. When it comes to saving lives, politics is the one area you do not want to play with. Again no outrage or protests? This lack of outrage leads me to believe that we are a very hypocritical people in Milwaukee. We pay for these services and now they are taken from us. We have over $50 million for streetcars but no money for libraries, a crucial resource in the inner city. We have no money for firefighters our first responders. We have unlimited resources and funding for streetcars that may or may not create a new business district? Despite all the reports that the streetcar will not be successful, despite the reports that the streetcar will cost us more then we can imagine, despite the countless data that these streetcars will become travel hazards and weigh heavily on our County Transit service (another vital service), we cut services to pave the way for mess and political turmoil we cannot afford. We have read many times how other municipalities are saving even more than they first realized using the tools provided in the Budget Repair Bill but we do not question why they are not being used here. Barrett is the reason why and no one calls him on it.

In Conclusion:

So here we have a fine hodgepodge of political problems with no end in sight. I think people are finding it all too sickening and are beginning to enjoy the cool breezes of autumn and are turning off to the hate that has filled our space. This to me is a good sign. A few weeks back Steve Forbes penned that from the ashes of this political fighting we will raise again and politics will take on a new form. This new form will include new parties and new players. I certainly hope he is correct. We need hope and change, but this time real hope and change evidenced by action and not fancy teleprompter talk!

This Week’s Honorable Mentions:

Milele Coggs is once again running to represent the 6th district. Her campaign kick-off is tonight at Coffee Makes You Black, 2803 N. Teutonia Avenue from 5:30 pm to 7:30 p.m.

Penny Skiora is running for the 18th Supervisory District and plans to hold a Kick-Off on October 10th at the MJ Cafe 6901 W. Brown Deer Rd from 5 pm to 7 pm.

Chris Christie is not running. Yes we love his style of leadership. His candor and straight to the point, no nonsense character is refreshing. He would knock Obama off his throne instantly. However I can’t blame the guy for not wanting to get in the pool right now. It’s a bit polluted!

Mayweather sucker punched Ortiz and I am trying to get my $60 back from TWC. That’s some bs. C’mon man!!!!! Boxing is going to be a thing of the past with this type of mess. But yes I will be buying the rematch!!!

Al Sharpton and MSNBC…I guess they too have an Affirmative Action quota to fill.

Local News….what’s with all the new faces on TV? You can tell there is no Affirmative Action quota here in Milwaukee as far as media is concerned! Still few Black faces reciting lines or overseeing the big projects like Contact 6 or Dirty Dining or anything that is ratings worthy. But a shout out to Shelly Walcott because she keeps pressing on and is active as she can be.

James T is gone (is he?) and white Rights are in peril. Hello, he was not a lone cowboy on a dessert! Bob Moore is gone from the airwaves someone as well told me? Well that’s messed up too. We have no one yet to step up and fill DeMarco Morgan’s shoes in this community. Maybe someday. But I will say some of our local media peeps give little to build an audience anyways. They feel they do not want to be linked to “Blacks” and why is that? I see their point (don’t want to be labeled), but then I see a movement that needs a voice. Speaking of which keep supporting WMCS and help it grow. They made changes based on what we said WE wanted and now that they have. Are we supporting by dollars and passing it on? We have this one radio station for news that is important to us and Black conversation designed to inform and engage. Keep supporting and listening and passing it on!!

Peace Family,

Blacks file Class Action Racial Discrimination Suit Against Obama & Democrats Seattle. Suing President Barack Obama and the Democratic Party for racism would be a joke if the Plaintiffs were anyone other than Rev. Wayne Perryman, a respected black minister and community activist. Perryman, an author, lecturer and a former newspaper publisher and radio talk show host who has received a multitude of honors and awards for his work and community service, was recently recognized by Chairman Benjamin Jealous of the NAACP for his latest research on racism and politics.

On September 11, 2011, Perryman brought together blacks from the West Coast and the East Coast to sign one of the most comprehensive legal briefs ever prepared for a racial discrimination lawsuit. The suit was to filed on September 12, 2011 in US District Court against President Barack Obama and the DNC. The plaintiffs, who refer to the defendants as the “Father of Racism,” allege that as an organization, the Democratic Party has consistently refused to apologize for the role they played in slavery, Jim Crow and for other subsequent racist practices from 1792 to 2011. Mrs. Frances P. Rice, the Chair of the National Black Republican Association is also a named plaintiff in the class action lawsuit.

The case (No. C11-1503), cites the collective work of over 350 legal scholars and includes Congressional records, case law, research from our nation’s top history professors, racist statements from Democratic elected officials, citations from the Democrat’s National Platforms regarding their support of slavery, excepts of speeches from Senator Obama, individual testimonies from blacks who lived in the Jim Crow South and opinions from the NAACP.

Perryman said President Obama was named as a defendant not only because he is the official leader of the Democratic Party, but because of certain statements he made about his own party in his book, Dreams from My Father. In 2009, the President was asked to issue an apology to blacks on behalf of his party, but he refused. Unlike other reparations lawsuits, this lawsuit merely asks for a public apology, but no monetary damages.

In the 40-page brief, Rev. Perryman tells the court that the Democratic Party, (the party that is quick to call the Tea Party and Republicans racist), is the same party that refuses to confess and/or acknowledge (in public and on their website) that they are the party that supported the institution that packed millions of black men, women and children in the deep dark hulls of slave ships with just barely enough food and water to keep them alive, and forced them to lie in their own urine, feces, and vomit for the duration of a long trip across the Atlantic. And after arriving in America, it was the members of their party that forced these poor souls to work from sunup to sundown for the next 70 years and never paid them one dime. And when the black victims were fortunate enough to escape, it was the Democratic Party that passed Fugitive Slave laws to return them to their brutal slave masters. When their inhumane institution of slavery was challenged by the opposing party, Democrats countered by placing threats in their political platforms (1844-1856), – threatening anyone who dared to interfere with what they called, “the sectional issue of Domestic Slavery.” On May 21, 1856, they carried out their threats when they attacked their opposition, Senator Charles Sumner with a walking cane on the Senate floor and when they attacked with guns, freed blacks and abolitionists on the streets of Lawrence, Kansas. Six years later, Democrats called themselves ‘Confederates” and went to war killing thousands to defend and protect their racist institution of slavery. After losing the war, they fought against constitutional amendments and civil rights legislation for blacks, and chose instead to form terrorist organizations, legislate Black Codes and Jim Crow Laws and support every landmark case that was designed to deny blacks their constitutional rights including the Slaughterhouse Case, Plessy v Ferguson, the Civil Rights Cases of 1881 to overturn the 1875 Civil Rights Act, and Brown v. the Board of Education. While many of these cases were pending, Democrats proudly adopted the name “The Party of White Supremacy” and committed every inhumane violent act known to mankind (from 1867 to 1977) to keep blacks in “their place.” And to add insult to injury, after killing millions of blacks through their racist institutions, they hired powerful attorneys to keep this information from blacks and to avoid apologizing to blacks.

Perryman said, “Any organization that has such a racist history and receives 97% of the African American vote (after doing all they could to deny blacks the right to vote), should willingly apologize without being forced do so through a lawsuit. He said, “I guess they feel they have nothing to apologize for.” Perryman went on to say that he is “convinced that Democrats will only apologize if the media, or the courts (with public pressure) will force them to do so. The man who authored the book: The Audacity of Hope, now has the “audacity” to refuse to apologize for his political party and their racist institutions, that took the lives of millions of his own people.”

Apologies for Racism – Precedent Set

In the 40-page brief covering a period from 1792 to 2011, Perryman makes the following claims regarding past apologies for racism and racial injustices. Perryman said history reveals that an apology or reparation for blacks would not be an issue today had the Democratic President Andrew Johnson chosen to sign Senate Bill 60. Since Johnson’s veto of Senate Bill 60, the door for reparations involving racial injustices remained closed for over 120 years. In 1988, Congress opened that door with the passage of the Civil Liberties Act of 1988. Under that new bill, Japanese internment victims received an apology plus $20,000 each in reparation pay. In 1993, the victims of the Rosewood, Florida Massacre received an apology and reparations from the State of Florida. On May 16, 1997, President Clinton issued an apology to the victims of the Tuskegee Experiment and paid the African American victims a total of $10,000,000 in reparations. On February 7, 2005, the 109th Congress issued Senate Resolution 39 and apologized for not enacting lynching laws to protect those who were victims of lynching. In that resolution, Congress stopped short of acknowledging that all of the lynchings took place in regions controlled by Democrats. And finally on January 20, 2007, the Executive Committee of the Democratic Party of North Carolina apologized for the 1898 riot and massacre that killed several black Republicans and drove them out of office.

When asked what he thought the public reaction will be to the lawsuit, Perryman said, those who sincerely oppose racism will fully support this case and it matters not whether they are members of the Democratic Party, the Republican Party, the Tea Party or members of the News Media. But those who are unaware of the historic facts contained in this brief will ignore it and call it “frivolous.” That’s why we are sending out thousands of copies of the brief via U.S. mail, internet and Facebook so the general public will have all the facts before deciding to ignore or support. Recall Recap Part I

Recall Recap Part I

I feel like I should start the blog similar to one of my heroes James Tiberius Kirk. Being that we are now entering into a new phase in Wisconsin government and politics as we know it.

<Do feel free to insert the Star Trek theme here as you read along>

Captain’s log Star date 10 August 2011…dust settled in the wake of a political frenzy known as Wisconsin. The new home and birth place of Battleground USA 2012. The quest for common sense and a return to government for the people, by the people, of the people was waged and fought here. Many brave souls fought a valiant fight against a mindless Borg but ultimately were defeated by the silent majority of Vulcans, the enlightened thinkers, Wisconsin voters….

After all the money poured into our state in the past few months, after all the commercials, infomercials, observations, polls, handouts, Facebook pages, tweets, rib give-away’s and everything else unpatriotic and unholy about politics, we now have some definitive results in response to Wisconsin’s Collective Bargaining Agreement Budget and Repair Bill.

Simply stated: We said let’s give it a try! We see results.

First you have to look at the entire race across six districts. Despite over $50 million dumped into media blitzes, Republicans came through battle tested and ready to move forward. But not so fast! Let us examine the real message sent last night.

The six recalls were fierce. For all that money and ground swell to have only moved two seats from “R” to “D” was a silly waste of time and resources better spent on 2012 elections. If the money and effort from yesterday’s races does not clearly show you how critical state budgets are to souled-out unions nothing else will. Wisconsin’s silent majority needed to be heard and felt. Message delivered! I am certain MSNBC’s Ed and Rachel Maddow along with Democratic pundits alike are scratching their heads today trying to figure out what went wrong. Ed and Maddow even more so since they had to break the news to those in Madison awaiting word of victory only to be let down like a romantic prom dance gone horribly wrong. “Sorry this just isn’t working out…” They dropped mics, exited stage right, and left Lena sitting there (looking marvelously stunning I might add, but a Dem talking head just the same) to comfort her flock.

I did not see too many brothers and sisters in those crowds. Could it be they saw something was not right? Did they too feel cheapened by the whole process, or could we just not catch the sympathetic eye of the camera to focus on us to show our pain too? I wonder how many of us were up there to rep the Black vote? Other than Lena, I saw only a few Hispanics but not any of us. I might have missed something though. Jesse, Al, hello?? Mike Moore, Mat Damon??? Anybody home?

What they did not expect is the massive turnout was not to vote out senators in most part, but rather in retaliation to the outsiders with big time money. Wisconsinites did not take too kindly to the outside interests coming in here and setting up shop. They had some nerve coming into our state with a country on the brink of fiscal destruction and telling us we are messed up. Hell we created jobs and got this state’s fiscal house in order. We paid bills, fueled funds that were raided by Doyle and others, and we created unforeseen savings to local municipalities and school districts with the “tools” Scott Walker and the right talked of. They too were surprised at how much savings we gained. Milwaukee alone is at $25 million in savings to offset budget cuts and now has ownership over runaway costs of employee benefit packages. We were real busy in Wisconsin making change while others made havoc. No one planned on the truth getting out so fast and that tangible evidence would be felt all over the state. Dems thought that they had time to do some damage, but they couldn’t. Even Gwen Moore could not help the cause because she would be lying and she missed a key vote that left her in the hot seat. She was exposed for not taking care of business. She can make excuses all she wants, but she missed the crucial debt ceiling vote and she goes down in history for that and made herself a target for future archers looking for a target.

The outsiders and Dems kept dumbing down the conversation with scary commercials such as “”Evil Republicans will take away your Medicare” rants. Wisconsin also said emphatically we heard enough of that and nothing ever changes. We all know State Senators have no power or control over Medicare so stick to facts. What will you do to change things? Where is your alternate budget? Dems had no answer, just rhetoric. Exactly who did they fool with that mess? The tired old mantra of the left had no golden boy (or girl) to rally the troops with fancy Teleprompters. The poster child for voter compassion who promised to lace up his sneakers had very little to say about the whole thing. Possibly President Obama could not lend a hand because he had pressing issues of his own to contend with. Funny how that always seems to happen when he is needed. So then where was Michelle, Pelosi, or Biden? Obama is busy saving his own hide and cannot afford to take the hit. Neither could sitting US-Wisconsin reps who are as worried about their own political futures and races. They too were sparse in these elections. Even Herb Kohl for the most part sat this one out. He had no reason to take action but then again when has he really done much leading and acting out?

In the end with all that was at stake in the six recall elections, it came down to the one race that was the most heavily emphasized prize fight on the card and with the most questionable place of all deciding the victor-Waukesha. Pasch vs. Darling was reminiscent of Tyson vs. Holyfield, and it was well worth the price of admission. Darling is no stranger to nasty fights. She has survived everything from breast cancer to crazed doctors looking to leak her medical records and she has stood the test of time. Pasch a House Rep had yet to lead but was comfortable all this time being a Doyle “yes” person.

So there it was, the seat most coveted and highly campaigned for. It went the entire 12 rounds with Alberta leading the charge congratulating her fellow victors and taking time to use the media to showcase all the change that Wisconsin has made. Darling did not waste a minute, she came out swinging. Typically the candidate or incumbent waits in back. Alberta was out there with the people, telling her story and greeting her supporters.  Pasch however was absent most of the night. She came out for a hot second and was never seen from again. She took an unexpected one, two from Waukesha (why it was unexpected I will never know. They always vote Right!!) and she was down for the count. MSNBC and Dems quickly tried to get the cut man to tape her up but too late the ref was counting 8, 9, 10!! Ding ding…They tried to muster up that Waukesha had some fraud going on but the county clerk was so heavily guarded Dems knew they could not fly with that. MSNBC even tried but they too took it down a notch. Two Republicans did not fare so well on the right, but not by much. Hopper had to go, even though he had a problematic background he was short just a few votes. This tells me that even with a questionable background, Scott Walker’s agenda was far more important than this lousy excuse of a “man.”

Long and short of it, Wisconsin silent majority is very misunderstood and not as stupid as the left would have one think. The changes we vindicated last night in Wisconsin were not for the love of Scott Walker, the Fitzgerald brothers or Koch Family, THEY WERE FOR US!! Our votes went to saying yes to restoring sanity in government and fiscal accountability. We see what is happening in our country, across the globe and we can contrast that with progress we see here. We voted for the continuation of that experiment. I think for some time until proven undoubtedly wrong, Wisconsin will continue on this journey into a new realm of living within our means, reigning in big government and replacing tired old ways with more logical and simplistic solutions that do not include tax hikes and ridiculous fees and proposals. Wisconsin is open for business!! We intend to keep it open along this path.

As for a governor recall. I would be the first to kiss a donkey’s butt if that ever came to fruition. Dems here do not know it but last night will most likely end it for the Dem/union love being showered here. No more Ed, no more Rachel or Lawrence. They have ratings and numbers to get. For some time our Dems will be feeling a little lost without all the national spotlight and media attention. Show them some compassion as they learn to fly solo!

Signing Out from this star date log to boldly go where no state has gone before…

Peace Family,

WW
