NAACP Insiders: What You Did Not Read About the Milwaukee NAACP Election

Dozens of activists demonstrated across the street from the Milwaukee Branch NAACP election site for the “Milwaukee Eight” singing “We Shall Overcome”, in support of themembers who were suspended for supporting now president-elect Attorney James Hall (see MJS Article www.jsonline.com/news/milwaukee/109475569.html).

The election process began with one of the NAACP National office clowns, (Amos and Andy redux) verbally assaulting Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel writer Georgia Pabst in front of several NAACP members including former Milwaukee Branch president Felmers Cheney, to much surprise and consternation, before the election process evenopened.

Within the sanctuary of Metropolitan Missionary Baptist Church NAACP members anxiously waited for hours throughout the process of nominating candidates from the floor. Tom White, State of Wisconsin NAACP Chapter President, and fellow Jerry Ann Hamilton conspirator, introduced Jerry Ann to speak to the electorate as she lamented that she hoped that this branch would “treat the next president better than it treated her!”

Unfortunately, Jerry Ann Hamilton still views herself as the victim rather than the source of all the dishonest shenanigans that characterized her tenure as Branch president. The blatant thievery and nepotism that led to the lack of respect and support for the local NAACP rests entirely at the feet of Jerry Ann Hamilton and her immediate family.

The most comical and telling moment of this election process was when Tom White went into a litany of moronic monologues regurgitating his past experiences that the electorate found uninteresting resulting in one member passionately inquiring as to when the actual voting was to take place after finishing a third shift job to attend and participate in this election process.

Mr. White’s response was that they had already begun counting the votes. Laughter and jeers broke out ceremoniously throughout the sanctuary because everyone knew that the voting had not even begun. No one had cast a single vote, yet Mr. White proclaimed in front of the entire electorate that the counting of the votes had already started and quickly back peddled to ignore this Freudian slipwith more of his outdated soliloquies.

It could be that Mr. White is so accustomed to conducting elections making untruthful statements about election processes that end with a story about how black folks used to pick cotton or how some racist cop pulled someone’s Daddy over and called him a “boy” distracting voters from the real issue at hand: Conducting a fair election.

Many commented that this election was reminiscent of grass root civil rights efforts of the 60′s and 70′s and at one point NAACP members started singing “This Little Light of Mine” after the voting actually started.

Is this a good or bad thing?

Good, because it represented a community that came together to confront and challenge an administration that has taken its own community for granted by abusing their positions for their own personal gain. Good because it helped foster the argument that the NAACP can be relevant if you have the right people running it and not ruining it. Good because it made transparent that this community is in need and is ready to step up to the plate and start tackling the barrage of challenges that it faces.

Bad, because the city of Milwaukee after over 50 years of civil rights legislation, protest and activism, has unnecessarily been retarded for the past ten years by an administration that has been immersed in making the NAACP a family slush fund. Something that apparently is not solely unique to the Milwaukee branch.

These emails started as an effort to expose the shenanigans and improprieties of the Milwaukee NAACP. We will continue to keep you informed about the activities of this branchand the NAACP.

By the way, Attorney James Hall won by over a two-to-one margin. (Hall-230 to Wendell Harris-99) And no, that does not indicate that Hall has a “70% approval rating” but merely that 70% of the voters on Saturday chose to support James Hall rather than Jerry Ann Hamilton’s hand picked candidate. As a matter of fact, since no one knows the actual membership numbers, we can safely assume that the 329 members voting do not reflect the overall majority of NAACP members

NAACP Member Documents Suspension, Fires Back At National Leadership

Mary Glass, Chair/CEO Milwaukee Professionals Association (MPA), provided TMD with 14 pages of interesting documents regarding her recent history with the local and national NAACP offices. Within these documents, you will see a letter of memebership suspension from the NAACP and other information as it relates to Ms. Glass.

What I Want From The NAACP

NAACP

Mr. Wendell Harris, or Mr. James Hall to head the Milwaukee branch of the NAACP.  I like both of them, and *I don’t like either at the same time.  I shall tell you why I said that in the last sentence of the last paragraph of the last page of this article.

Nor is any of the above noted the reason for this that I now write:

Why I write this is to incite whomever gets the position of the President of the Milwaukee Branch of the NAACP to please start a National Initiative to change the name of the organization.  Is it just me?  I opine that the name is out dated as is what the organization in all actuality does.

In my empirical experience in dealing with the NAACP I have seen it as a grandiose referral agency. It (the organization) refers you to where you can maybe get some help in whatever plight or concern you might have at the time.  (Let me hasten to add this may not have happened to everyone though)

In continuation, I beseech the NAACP to broaden its outlook to be able to really help with these current turbulent times that -our- country finds itself.  I see it as incumbent on the NAACP to reconstruct itself into some type of super buffer.

The NAACP (in reconstruction) had better ready itself for this Conservative TSUNAMI that is waxing so arrogant in its notoriety effecting the world as a whole… not to mention President Obama’s Administration.

I charge the “ National Association for the Advancement of Colored People” to if need be change your Laws or Charter.  Here, here is the key. Go on unhandcuff yourself. That is the only way you/we can deal with today’s times.

In partial defense of the NAACP I will summarize by saying that it does have every now and than some very good programs.  For example, I took a quality

Parliamentary Class from them a while ago.  A Parliamentary Class teaches the do’s and don’t’s on how to properly conduct a formal meeting.

In retrospect on how the Milwaukee branch of the NAACP has conducted itself of late is why I used the word partial in the beginning of the above paragraph.  I mean seriously now, *James and Wendell, a near real fist fight between you two at a formal NAACP meeting?  Come on!

Latest Email From NAACP Insiders, Wendell J. Harris Is “Deadbeat”

We’ve received this latest emails from at least 4 differents sources this morning including the original source. The Drum still isn’t sure who is the person (or persons) behind these communications. What we do know is that we are hoping the NAACP will clean house and once again assume its place of leadership within the Black Community.

CRIMINAL DEADBEAT RUNS FOR PRESIDENT OF NAACP

Wendell J. Harris, reputed criminal and confirmed deadbeat is running to be the president of the Milwaukee Branch NAACP. Harris, well known throughout the community for his history of embezzlement and theft is the hand picked successor to the nefarious Jerry Ann Hamilton as one who can continue the raiding of branch resources for personal enrichment. Harris’ early campaign brochure in which he falsely accuses the reform movement of adopting a slogan of “Run it or Ruin It”, when in actuality the slogan is and has been RESTORE, REFORM, REFOCUS is misleading and mendacious. This is typical of the kind of distortions and outright lies the community could expect if, unfortunately, he is in leadership of the Milwaukee Branch.

Harris, and his coterie of proven shysters, including the on again, off again, political operative Joan Hollingsworth whose criminal record is public knowledge and the notorious Danny/Marion Hargrove, or whatever alias he is using for the time being, are what we could expect to see running the local branch if Wendell would take office. To view their records go to: (http://wcca.wicourts.gov).

Wendell admits in his campaign flier that the Milwaukee Branch is in an “undesirable situation” what he doesn’t admit however, is that he was an integral part of the administration that put the Branch in such a situation. He is currently 1st Vice President directly under Jerry Ann Hamilton and all can be assured that this symbiotic relationship will continue if he ends up in office and the branch, along with the community, will inevitably continue to suffer. Wendell’s proclivity for misappropriating other people’s money is well known.

From his blatant embezzlement of funds from the Friendship Club as well as numerous legal actions taken against him by the State DWD, MATC, City of Milwaukee, Wisconsin Electric Power Co., Bell Property Management Co., Kohl’s Food Stores, City Housing Authority, State Department of Revenue, and others too numerous to mention, but whose records are in the public domain at CCAP. We know that Wendell’s history of misuse of others’ funds is not limited to the NAACP. Simply put, Wendell has indubitably proven that he is an equal opportunity swindler. In fact, maybe Wendell can explain the disappearance of more than at least four lap-top computers from the NAACP offices.

His close cohorts Danny/Marion Hargrove and Joan Hollingsworth also have numerous encounters with the Wisconsin Court System. Hargrove has a criminal record going back at least to the 1980′s while Hollingsworth is a more recent crook. Hollingsworth’s history of financial misdealing, narcotic violations and voter fraud with former Alderman Michael McGee Jr. and former State Senator Gary George span over the last 10 years.

In any case, are these the kind of people we want representing the NAACP, the oldest and most venerable civil rights organization in the country and one that we need fighting for the rights of all people and not bogged down in defending proven criminals?

All current NAACP members are encouraged to come out and vote on Saturday November 20th, and send these crooks home once and for all.
