NAACP Insiders Accuse VP Wendell Harris

MORE FINANCIAL SHENANIGANS AT THE MILWAUKEE NAACP
Most recently Jerry Ann Hamilton’s lackey Wendell Harris (1st Vice President and hand picked choice to be next president) has been trying to get the NAACP Executive Committee to approve a $3,000 expenditure for Jerry’s company, Life Impact Center for Personal Development, and has gone so far as to set up an expense account on the NAACP profit and loss statement to ready themselves for doling out more non-existing operating funds for the Hamiltons. Not leaving Jerry Ann as the only benefactor of the effort to pillage non-existent NAACP resources, Wendell had the nerve to motion approving the branch spending $1,000 so he could attend an educational seminar in sin city, Las Vegas. The branch has no money in the operating fund.
Ads were placed in both The Courier (See example of Courier ad online http://milwaukeecourieronline.com/index.php/2010/04/10/life-impact-center-for-personal-development/ ) and The Community Journal newspapers listing the NAACP Branch address and phone number for Jerry Ann Hamilton’s privately owned company-something we mentioned in previous emails. Please keep in mind that Jerry and son Henry vehemently denied that the Life Impact Center for Personal Development even existed, let alone the fact that this company was using NAACP resources which is a blatant violation of NAACP bylaws.
The reality is that the branch is operating in the red with a negative ($196.67) balance and only shows restricted funds available, and we know this crop of bandits will simply use restricted funds for unrestricted purposes as they have done in the past. The illegal practice of restricted funds being intermingled and used for unrestricted purposes has been well documented in a Operational and Financial Assessment report conducted in 2008.
When Jerry Ann Hamilton became president of the Milwaukee branch ten years ago the branch had a substantial fund balance in its operating accounts. To date the operating account has a negative ($196.67) in it, no wonder Jerry and son Henry have been hell bent on not having an audit conducted.
And like pigs at the trough, Jerry has again trudgedup to the Executive Committee to request more funds for her personal use and this time she has brought along with her who she believes should be the next President of the NAACP to feed along with her, Wendell Harris, even when there is nothing left for them to gorge on except for funds that are for restricted use only. Specifically restricted funds from Miller Brewery for rent and Hupy Law Offices for scholarships, not contracts for Jerry’s privately owned company or Las Vegas getaways for Wendell.

Will Black Milwaukee Benefit From The 2010 World Summit?
By now you’ve seen the commercials and have heard the radio ads regarding the 2010 World Summit. When we first heard of the event, we too were excited about the prospect of such a weekend affair. After examining the website, TMD had some questions in which we felt were important to get answers to.
Here are those questions.
We submitted our questions to the event organizer (via the email on website) and have not received a response. We submitted these questions to Ald. Willie Hines who has been credited with bringing this event to Milwaukee. Many of you may know that he is on the Board of Directors for Visit Milwaukee. Hines didn’t answer the questions either, but his staff directed us to inquire of a Dave Fantle.
Fantle has yet to respond.
Therefore, maybe one of our readers can answer these (and other) questions regarding how Black Milwaukee stands to benefit from such a glorious weekend? After all, they are promoting this event in all the churches and in Black Media. Surely we are just not expected to be mere consumers and invest our Black Dollars into a worthy production and not have a return to the community. Or is that the expectation?
The one thing we know (see their website) is that the NAACP and the Milwaukee Boys & Girls Club will receive some financial benefit from the Leadership Luncheon.
Again, if anyone reading this post can help us understand how Black Milwaukee is involved it would be greatly appreciated.

NAACP Insiders Article X Complaint
This is crazy… somebody needs to go and get out fast. This is embarrassing.
As we’ve been posting for several months, members of the NAACP (NAACP Insiders) have been trying to oust President Jerry Ann Hamilton. They have filed the appropriate paperwork to levy the charges against Ms. Hamilton they believe are reasons for her immediate removal. Attached to this post is the actual language presented to the National NAACP Office. Review for yourself and come to your own conclusion about the merits of the NAACP Insiders’ claims.

Milwaukee NAACP Hijacked By Hamilton Family
The following email was forwarded to the National President of the NAACP Benjamin Todd Jealous by the cabal of Milwaukee NAACP Chapter Insiders. These Insiders forwarded the email to The Milwaukee Drum for public review. Let’s see if Jealous will step up and address these Insiders and their allegations.
HI JACKING OF NAACP RESOURCES CONTINUES
We have recently learned that Jerry Hamilton has expanded her blatant thievery and looting of the meager resources of the Milwaukee Branch NAACP. After squandering thousands at the national convention in July, Hamilton has boosted the stipends to her sister and daughter with funds ostensibly to pay for programs for students and the still undefined purposes for funding by the Milwaukee Area Workforce Investment Board, (from which coincidentally, Hamilton is attempting to secure additional funding). It appears that the new treasurer, Margaret Martin, is part and parcel of this blatant thievery that has gone on far too long at the Milwaukee branch.
Further, we have learned that the Baltimore Buffoon, ‘Rev.’ Gill Ford, who visited Milwaukee in May and proceeded to talk down to the Executive committee and blatantly insult long time member Alfonso Lambert, is now going to be guest speaker at the 2009 Freedom Fund dinner. This further proves that the Milwaukee branch is in dire straits, when of all the knowledgeable and articulate leaders, this is the best Milwaukee can do, yet, he could not be as bad as the feeble excuse for a speaker that people walked out on last year, one ‘Dr.’ Keenan Grenell.
A number of genuinely concerned members of the NAACP have filed an Article X with the national office requesting an audit of the branch’s finances and an investigation of the many improprieties that have been documented in these emails and by the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.
Among other things, the filing included unimpeachable evidence of Hamilton’s use of the NAACP logo and trademark to promote an appreciation luncheon to raise funds for her personally and not for the branch, which subsequently has been reported to the Hamilton’s Chapter 13 bankruptcy Trustee Mary Grossman and the Internal Revenue Service; repeated use of the branch office and equipment to promote her personal business, Life Impact Personal Development Center, that she has operated from the NAACP office, seeking funding from UMOS and BIG STEP, among others; the fraudulent conduct of the 2008 branch election where many official procedures were violated to ensure he re-election and the election of ‘her’ slate, and to negate the nomination of a qualified candidate for treasurer, who took all legal steps to be placed on the ballot, but did not fit her slate and was subsequently left off the ballot and whose protest was dismissed by the national office, particularly by the aforementioned Gill Ford – one wonders is there some pay back here as he is invited to be the Dinner speaker.
It is now patently clear that the Black owned media Milwaukee is part and parcel of this perpetual fraud that plagues our community, and with the exception of Earl Ingram of 1290 radio, they are content to sit back and see a venerable institution as the Milwaukee NAACP reduced to nothing but a scam for an unscrupulous family. So, citizens it is time to speak up and save the NAACP by ousting the Hamiltons and seeking new, open and honest leadership to reestablish some credibility.
