Minority Whip Eric Cantor On Mid-Term Election Results

Is this election on a national level the tea party`s fault?
November 3, 2010 at 4:46 pm
The candidates whose campaigns can be positively attributed to tea party support had mixed results. In the case where a strong candidate was brought forward like Ron Johnson, Scott Walker, Allen West or Tim Scott they won big and where a weaker candidate was fielded they lost handily, like Sharon Angle or Christine O’Donnell. Imagine what the results could of been if stronger candidates were fielded even in traditionally blue states like Connecticut or Delaware!
I think if you have to blame someone for the election results you would have to blame the arrogant politicians in power who refused to listen to the will of the people and choose instead to push an idealogical, radical agenda, out of sync with America that was crippling our economy and immorally burdening generations to come with unsustainable debt.
As a small businessman I am very encouraged by the results as long as these politicians stay true to the principles that put them into office this cycle.
