Standing against injustice has been the legacy often  recalled by old guard civil rights activists in Congress but political loyalties appear to be more important than standing against injustice today. Congressman John Lewis admits “I don’t know the facts of the case…” but then goes on to defend fallen colleague, Charlie Rangel, citing his past deeds, introducing race while ignoring the fact that Congressman’s Rangel’s corruption has preyed on the very people he represents.
