This video is pure genuis I tell you! What are we supposed to do Black People with those of US who have knowledge and share truth to those of US with our eyes closed? Do we embrace the truth or do we run from it because it is something unfamilar to US?
Watch this episode of the classic Good Times sitcom. Young Evans wants his family to embrace a Black Jesus and his mother rejects anything other than a White Jesus. How many of US Black People grew up in homes with pictures of a White Jesus (JKF & MLK too) on a wall in our parent’s home? How many of US went to churches where there were pictures of a White Jesus and his all White Disciples all over the church?
So what do you think and is it important that Jesus is Black?
And how many other brothers were crushing on Thelma like me back in the day?
