Cavalier Johnson Press Release: I'm Running For The County Board
December 12, 2010 at 9:45 am
WELL MILWAUKEE, AT LEAST YOU ARE NOT STUCK WITH ONE CHOICE FOR THE COUNTY BOARD. I SAY THE MORE THE BETTER. I PERSONALLY HAVE NOT HEARD OF CAVALIER BEFORE. BUT I DID APPRECIATE HIS VIEW ON THE HIGH SPEED RAIL ISSUE. NOW WE NEED TO RESEARCH TO SEE JUST HOW LONG MR. CAVALIER HAS BEEN BACK IN TOWN TO SEE WHERE ELSE, AND WHAT ELSE HE HAS HAD AN OPINION ON, IF ANY… ABOUT MILWAUKEE’S OTHER NUMEROUS PLIGHTS. THAT IS TO SEE WEATHER, NOW THAT HE IS RUNNING FOR OFFICE, HE HAS CHOSEN TO START SPEAKING OUT AGAINST WRONGS WHEN HE HAS BEEN IN TOWN DURING OTHER WRONGS, AND DIDN’T SPEAK OUT!
THOUGH HIS IS A FRESH FACE, WE STILL NEED TO REMIND OURSELVES ALSO THAT IT BEHOOVES US TO BE IN A CUT-BACK MOOD ON GOVERNMENT SPENDING. ME! I WOULD RATHER LIKE TO SEE THIS COUNTY BOARD SCALED BACK, OR ELIMINATED IF COULD BE, ALL TOGETHER. THAT SAID, I WOULD LOVE TO SEE SOMEONE INVESTIGATE TO SEE HOW SOME OF OUR OTHER U. S. CITIES GET AROUND COUNTY BOARDS (MEMBERS) COMPLETELY OR NEARLY COMPLETELY. LET US KEEP MORE OF OUR TAX $$$ DOLLARS IN OUR WALLETS, AND PURSES! NEEDLESS TO SAY, SAID INVESTIGATION WOULD HAVE TO BE CARRIED OUT BY SOMEONE OUTSIDE OF THE COUNTY BOARD ARENA. BECAUSE IT WOULD BE DIFFICULT FOR A PERSON TO GET RID OF HIS OR HER OWN CUSHY, LIVELIHOOD NO MATTER THE SITUATION.
ANOTHER THING SINCE I’M ON THE SUBJECT. I DO NOT SEE WHY WE NEED SUCH A LARGE NUMBER OF PEOPLE AFFILIATED WITH, THUS GETTING PAY CHECKS FROM, THE COUNTY BOARD EITHER. NOT LEAVING BY FAR THE SUBJECT AT HAND, HERE IS ANOTHER CONCERN TOO PEOPLE! CAVALIER, OR WHOMEVER ELSE, WOULD BE A NEEDED BREATH OF FRESH AIR, BECAUSE, I DON’T KNOW ABOUT YOU, BUT I AM TIRED OF HEARING THE STINKY WORDS, RATS, ROACHES, AND SLUMLORD CONNECTED TO THE COUNTY BOARD BY WAY OF… YOU KNOW WHO… ANYWAY!
SINCE I AM VENTING. HERE IS SOMETHING ELSE I WOULD TRULY LIKE SEEING. A 50,000 GALLON CAN OF ‘RAID’, UTILIZED TO RID ALL UNNEEDED, UNDER PERFORMING, ‘HUMAN’ PESTS (PARASITES) FROM DOWN TOWN MILWAUKEE! I AM SORRY, BUT WHEN I HEAR GOVERNMENT EMPLOYEE I ENVISION LAZY, AND SOMEONE THAT IS JUST EYEBALLING THE CLOCK UNTIL QUITTING TIME. NATURALLY, I REALIZE THAT THIS DOES NOT APPLY ACROSS THE BOARD TO EVERYONE. TO THEM THAT THIS NOT APPLY TO
I DO APOLOGIZE. BUT HEY….
NOW BACK TO MY POINT. HURRIEDLY,ALLOW ME TO INJECT THAT NONE OF THE ABOVE IS WRITTEN TO BAD MOUTH MR. JOHNSON. IT IS JUST THAT I AM ONLY NOW HEARING ABOUT THIS, AT LEAST FOR ME, BRAND NEW ‘CHEVY’. AND BECAUSE OF MANY BAD EXPERIENCES; I EQUATE POLITICIAN WITH LEMON!
BUT WHO KNOWS, HE (JOHNSON) COULD BE THE CORRECT PICK OFF THE LOT!

CavaLIER has STRONG ties to investment boards that MILK off poor people. He is the poster boy for businesses that get credit and capital off of inner city neighborhoods not to mention he works closely with the “prosecution unit” director John Connelly. What it equals to is a young, black, undercover sellout snitch making personal profits and gains under the guise of non profit associations. He goes by the nickname Chevy and frequents government treasury auctions. He purchased a BAHA CRUISER at one of these prestigious government sells. Nickname CHEVY real name ends in LIER. Do the math!

Hi, Cavalier Johnson here. I’d like to address the most recent posts here on the Drum.
Henry: I’m a 24 year old Milwaukee man that finished up studies at UW-Madison in May of 2009. To answer your question direectly, I’ve been back to Milwaukee full term since. There is any number of wrongs facing Milwaukee and working directly with residents I think, is the best way to solve them. In my opinion, there’s no better way to get at the root of problems facing folks than rallying them together and getting the run down from them first hand.
You mention that even though I offer a fresh, new take on representation in our local government, we still must be mindful that cuts need to be made. I hear you loud and clear on that. That’s why finding and eliminating duplicity in County/Municipal service will be one of my top priorities.
If I had to make a guess, I think that some folks running for office would pretend as if they did not notice the paragraph were you highlight such ample representation and paydays at the County level. You, this past weekned, I went door to door in the 10th Supervisory District, meeting concerned residents and voters. While I was speaking with residents, more than one told me that they were not thrilled with their elected officials for any number of reasons. Some that were highlighted are: poor visibility in the neighborhood; poor communication from their offices; and a strong lack of inclusiveness. So what I’m saying is that more doesn’t necessarily mean better.
Places like San Diego County and Maricopa County each get by with only five County Supervisors and their populations have at least a million more residents than the population here in Milwaukee County. These are things that I both realize and would like to address.
I know that you’ve been let down by many folks that have been elected to office here. But please, don’t forget that there are still folks in this community that want to work for see Milwaukee move forward. There may only be a handful of us, but we are here, we want to stay here, we want you to stay here, and we want to help make Milwaukee great by making decisions that benefit the residents here rather than some interests.
PLM: Congratulations, you’re the first person to attack me in this campaign – with absurdities no less.
To address some of the things that you’ve said:
Am I young? Yes.
Am I Black? Sure am.
Am I an “undercover snitch” receiving under the table paydays? Not in the slightest chance.

You went door to door? Hope it wasn’t to get signatures, you’re not allowed to do that just yet. Also, can you address PLM claims of you having association with investment boards? Are you indeed affiliated with any? Do you own a Baha Cruiser? That’s a heavy water toy. How many people in the 10th District do you think own such? Just asking lad.

Good Evening to you.
Nope. I wasn’t collecting signatures. That’s not allowed at this time. I was going door to door in order to simply introduce myself to 10th District residents, allowing them to put a face with the name.
In regards to the claims made by PLM: I do have some connection with investment boards – but not the sort that s/he was referring to. In fact, to tell you the truth, I don’t even have a clue as to what sort of “investment boards” PLM is talking about.
I do however, work full time with the Milwaukee Area Workforce Investment Board (MAWIB). The organization is a nonprofit run under the auspices of the City of Milwaukee and is responsible for helping to leverage resources to provide a strong workforce in Milwaukee County (hence, Workforce Investment Board or WIB, another name for the organization). MAWIB provides trainings and services free of charge to Milwaukee County residents so please don’t be fooled by the uninformed accusations made by PLM, whomever s/he is.
I first thought that a Baha Crusier was some sort of luxury car that I had never heard of before. I looked it up and it’s actually a boat! So to answer the question of whether or not I own a boat that I’ve never even heard of…No, I don’t. I’ve got a used car that’s pushing 170,000 miles that I’m trying to pay off. I don’t have any room for a boat – and I’m not sure that many of the residents of the 10th District have them either.

I wouldn’t pay any mind to PLM there are some posts not worth responding to. I like the fact that you appear to be committed to the community and have good intentions. My only hope is that you critically examine the failures of the bankrupt political conventions that have dictated the kind of solutions that have decimated the communities of people of color for decades.

Thanks for your words, much appreciated. I understand your concerns loud and clear. I just submitted my responses for the “20 Questions” Invitation to the Candidates that TMD puts on. I think that you, and everyone else that reads the post will have better insights into who I am, where I’ve been, what I’ve done, my desire to serve Miwlaukee and some of the items that I look to get working on.
Be on the lookout for it soon!
