Sheila Cochran On Walker's Role In Talgo Leaving WI (video)
January 13, 2011 at 2:47 pm
Thank you Scott Walker for getting Talgo and all out of the closet racists out of our state. Sad that our own people will bow down to racists and sell out their own people!
Shame on you!!

Are you serious Wonder woman? You’ve posted some very insightful things on this website. How can any intelligent person like yourself only see what the people who throw these Talgo pressers want you to see?
High-speed rail and Talgo both combined would result in less than 100 permanent jobs total. Secondly, did people just put their hands over their ears and yell “LALALALA!” When the Talgo hiring director squealed on them exposing their racist hiring practices. It is known that they did not want to hire the people who live in the neighborhood they’ve decided to locate in.
How’s about all you people SOOOO concerned about jobs start getting on Mayor Tom Barrett and Willie Hines for letting the idiots on the historic preservation commission obstruct the downtown Milwaukee Marriott project that would create a couple hundred permanent jobs, that would most likely be filled by US!
Shame on everyone too short sighted to believe how wrong the high-speed rail project was for Wisconsin, and shame on everyone who isn’t chastising our lame mayor for not shutting up the crazies and pushing this hotel through. We need jobs not a bunch of hippies telling us some building is historical because it’s old. Whatever I’m done for now.

I am not sure we disagree here? I read your post and all of what you said are the reasons we need Talgo out and another hometown company in.
I am not opposed to high-speed rail. Although for us, we would loose a lot of business that Wisconsin takes in via side-of-the-road businesses. However I have no tolerance for bowing down to Talgo when we have capable businsses right here who were willing to do this job and wanted to bid on the project. Remember Doyle went to Spain to get Talgo and refused Wisconsin businesses the right to bid on the project? What is up with that?
I agree with you on the whole Marriot business. Other businesses will look at what happened there and decide Milwaukee is not a business friendly atmosphere to move their companies too.
How can we justify the 35 black men who also complained about the racist hiring practices of Talgo? So what do we gain by keeping Talgo? Also as the design stands, there is much room for improvement. Stops that actually stop at busniesses, and the farmers and road side folks who would go out of business if we don’t include them in the design of the train?
What I see is the 35 black men who need us to stand with them against Talgo. What I also see is only 55 permanent jobs created by the train and the rest is up in the air. What I see is the people like Michelle Obama who call for homegrown and US farm raised food that would be devastated by this train project as it stands. This needs more work. We threw it together and the plan is not a solution for Milwaukee or Wisconsin.

My bad thought you were being sarcastic. I withdraw my earlier statement.
